Aroma Hydro: How CPL Aromas is transforming alcohol-free fragrance

0

The alcohol-free fragrance segment has grown in recent years, attracting customers looking for a new fragrance experience. This context has accelerated the emergence of technologies that improve the sensory promise and effectiveness of alcohol-free fragrances. With Aroma Hydro, CPL avoids alcohol substitutes such as glycols or nano-emulsions.

An innovative and versatile technology

Aroma Hydro fully aligns with this innovation-driven momentum while opening up a new technological pathway. The breakthrough lies in replacing conventional solvents with a water-based finished product. In practical terms, CPL Aromas supplies customers with a fragrance concentrate developed using a proprietary technique — patent pending —requiring only the addition of water. The result is an alcohol-free fragrance with “a finer texture, faster drying time, and enhanced benefits for both skin and environment,” explains Cécile Le Cerf, Managing Director France.

CPL Aromas asserts that Aroma Hydro delivers strength and longevity on par with alcohol-based perfumeswhile fully preserving the fragrance’s hedonistic appeal and olfactory architecture. “The fragrance remains complex and evolving, from top notes to base notes, thanks to our unique formulation method—and the results have truly impressed our customers,” the executive adds.

Aroma Hydro thus offers a credible alternative to alcohol-based fragrances for consumers looking for a product that is more respectful of the skin or the environment, without sacrificing the power or sensory pleasure of a fragrance. “With this in mind, this innovation could eventually replace alcohol-based perfumes,” says Cécile Le Cerf.

The technology also introduces a new way of wearing fragrance, through a hybrid format that bridges perfumery with skin and hair care. “This solution is particularly suited to on-trend hair mists and all-over formulas. The absence of alcohol allows for the inclusion of ingredients that deliver genuine skin care benefits, enabling the creation of versatile, multi-purpose scented products,” continues Le Cerf.

Another key advantage is the strong interest Aroma Hydro is generating in the Middle East, where alcohol use is restricted. While these markets already embrace alternative fragrance rituals such as oils and bakhour, Aroma Hydro provides a true alcohol-free perfume format. “Our technology was very well received at the Beautyworld Middle East trade show in Dubai at the end of October,” highlights Le Cerf.

Responding to a sustainable market vision

From an ecological standpoint, Aroma Hydro is part of a more responsible formulation approach. “Replacing alcohol and conventional solvents reduces our dependence on petrochemical ingredients. This technology also makes it possible to achieve high olfactory performance without resorting to high concentrations, thanks to impactful bases, thus limiting the use of certain chemicals,” explains Cécile Le Cerf.

The perfume market remains on a strong growth trajectory, fueled by bold, signature, and innovative fragrances. “Consumers are no longer willing to compromise on performance or pleasure. As expectations rise, brands are multiplying claims — vegan, ethical, sulfate-free, or alcohol-free. Eco-friendly positioning and formulas with a higher proportion of natural ingredients are increasingly perceived as markers of quality. Consumers are now seeking products that are beneficial for both their skin and the environment,” she continues.

It is within this evolving market landscape that CPL Aromas is investing in technologies that meet growing demands for performance, sensoriality, and responsibility, while creating new usage opportunities for brands, exemplified by Aroma Hydro.

The family-owned and independent company places innovation at the heart of its strategy. “Our management is based on a long-term vision of perfumery, so investing in the future is essential,” emphasizes Cécile Le Cerf. This approach is in line with CPL Aromas’ eco-responsible commitments, as exemplified by technologies such as Ecoboostbiodegradable capsules, in-house captives, and AromaSpaces.

Alongside technological innovation, the group is also focused on reinforcing its creative capabilities. “Our perfumers are supported by a wide-ranging palette and unique technologies, empowering them to pursue more responsible perfumery while maintaining high standards of creativity and performance,” concludes Cécile Le Cerf.

10 Best Primers for Mature Skin That Don’t Settle, Slide, or Crease

Soothing aloe and cactus flower extracts add a layer of comfort, while hemp seed extract supports the skin barrier. The subtle tint pulls it all together, giving skin a soft radiance that pretty much doubles as a built-in highlighter.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are the benefits of a primer for mature skin?

The best makeup primers for mature skin are made with gentle ingredients that support the unique beauty of aging skin. “More mature skin is often in need of a hydration boost, so humectants like glycerin, betaine, and hyaluronic acid are beneficial,” Cincinnati-based cosmetic chemist Kelly Dobos explains. Along with nourishing your skin, a high-quality primer boosts the effectiveness of your other makeup products, creating a smooth, long-lasting base that locks in hydration and wears well. “Think of primer as double-sided tape for the face,” says Figueroa. “It locks in skin care, keeps your makeup in place, and prevents it from creasing or settling into fine lines and wrinkles.”

“The primary ingredients in most primers are silicone elastomers,” says Dobos. “Elastomers are flexible polymers that can be pulled and stretched without breaking. They also have good adhesion to the skin and are responsible for the grip primers have on pigments.” She explains that these polymers also scatter light, which is responsible for that beloved blurring effect.

How should I choose a primer for mature skin?

Gray recommends focusing on hydrating and smoothing ingredients. “Niacinamide is one of my favorite ingredients because it has numerous well-studied and proven benefits, including antioxidant activity, skin tone evening, and the ability to strengthen the skin barrier,” Dobos adds. If your skin has gotten oilier with age, Dobos suggests looking for primers with mattifying ingredients. “Many primers contain highly absorptive powder like silica or non-pearlescent mica to maintain a more matte appearance.”

You’ll also want to read the back of the bottle to avoid a few pesky ingredients that can exacerbate aging-related skin concerns. “Avoid formulations that contain stripping ingredients and unnecessary oils,” Gray warns, as these can emphasize signs of mature skin. Opt for a lightweight primer that won’t settle into fine lines or wrinkles, creating a smooth canvas for foundation and concealer.

How we test and review products

Before reviewing any makeup, we ask questions about a number of factors: What ingredients are in it? Does the brand offer a wide shade range inclusive of consumers with all skin tones and undertones? Is it safe for readers who have sensitive skin or wear contact lenses? Is it on the affordable side or more of a splurge? Is its packaging consciously designed or needlessly wasteful?

For our review of the best primers for mature skin, we enlisted the help of multiple editors, writers, contributors, and makeup artists to review the products. This ensures our testing base spans different skin tones, genders, and dermatological conditions. We considered each product’s performance across four primary categories: ingredients, wear and longevity, packaging, and inclusivity. For more on what’s involved in our reporting, check out our complete reviews process and methodology page.

Our staff and testers

A beauty product is a personal purchase. You might be searching for a face cream to address persistent dryness or a new nail product to add to your Sunday self-care routine; you may simply be browsing around for the latest launches to hit the hair market. No matter what you seek or your individual needs and concerns, Allure wants to ensure that you love anything we recommend in our stories. We believe that having a diverse team of writers and editors—in addition to the wide range of outside testers and industry experts we regularly call upon—is essential to reaching that goal.

Now that you’ve aced your base, it’s time for makeup that looks great on mature skin:

For Weight Loss, Variety In Your Diet May Be Overrated

0

Dietitians regularly talk up the importance of having variety in your diet to make sure you hit your nutritional needs. But new research suggests that’s actually not helpful—at least, not when you’re trying to lose weight.

The study, which was published in the journal Health Psychologymakes a strong case for sticking with the same meals when you’re on a weight-loss journey. If constantly thinking up new meals is a stressor for you, this may sound like good news.

“While this approach isn’t for everything and isn’t necessarily ideal for the long-haul, for those who are content to eat the same things for a few days in a row or having some go-to meals and snacks to rely on, it can simplify eating healthy, balanced meals that support your weight management goals,” Jessica Cording, RD, the author of The Little Book of Game-Changerstells SELF.

But the findings also don’t mean you’re screwed in the weight loss department if you prefer to mix things up in your diet. Here’s why.

The study dove into a mix of dietary patterns.

For the study, researchers analyzed data from food logs collected from 112 people with overweight or obesity who were enrolled in a structured behavioral weight loss program. The participants were asked to track their food in an app, and to have weigh-ins on a wireless scale.

The researchers specifically focused on the first 12 weeks of the program, which is when participants are usually the most into tracking their food intake, and measured how routine-oriented the participants’ diets were. They did this in two ways: They looked at the participants’ caloric stability which is how much their daily calories fluctuated from day-to-day and between weekdays and weekends. The researchers also dove into how repetitive the participants’ diets were, looking at how often people logged the same meals and snacks over time.

After crunching the data, the researchers discovered that people who stuck with a diet that was low in variety lost an average of 5.9% of their body weight compared to the 4.3% lost by people who mixed up their diets more. Having a greater calorie consistency was linked to better weight loss results. Specifically, for every 100-calorie increase in fluctuation between days, the participants’ weight loss dropped by about 0.6% during the 12-week period.

Based on all of this, the researchers concluded that lower variety in your diet and maintaining a steady calorie intake may help people create sustainable habits to support weight loss. “The conventional wisdom around dieting says that you should incorporate a lot of different foods to avoid getting bored and that you should splurge on the weekends or special occasions so that you don’t feel as deprived,” Charlotte Hagerman, PhD, study co-author and researcher at Oregon Research Institute, tells SELF. “However, this contradicts research showing that consistency makes your behavior more habitual—that is, more automatic and effortless.”

Could you start a beauty brand with your family?

0

What does it really take to build a beauty brand – and could you do it with your own family? In an industry that often celebrates solo founders and rapid growth, this episode of Green Beauty Conversations explores a very different entrepreneurial path: creating a business rooted in trust, shared history and deeply aligned values.

In this episode, Formula Botanica CEO Lorraine Dallmeier sits down with mother–daughter duo Angela Gargano and Kathy Griswold, co-founders of Lola Arnao Beauty, to uncover how a personal skincare struggle evolved into a purpose-driven beauty brand for ultra-sensitive skin.

From kitchen experimentation to handcrafted formulations made in a converted barn workshop, their journey challenges conventional ideas of success in the beauty industry and reveals what happens when lived experience shapes formulation from the ground up.

But this conversation goes far beyond product development. It also explores resilience, slow beauty, navigating business during life’s hardest moments and redefining growth on your own terms.

If you’ve ever dreamed of starting a beauty brand – or wondered whether you could start a brand with your family – this is an episode you won’t want to miss.

Listen here

“The business will come and go, but the family relationships have to come first.” — Angela Gargano & Kathy Griswold

In this episode with Angela Gargano and Kathy Griswold, you will hear:

  • The reality of building a beauty brand as a family: Angela and Kathy share how their mother–daughter relationship became the foundation of their business partnership. They explain why working with family requires deep trust, honest communication and shared values, and how their long history together helps them solve challenges differently from traditional co-founders.
  • From chef’s kitchen to skincare formulation: Kathy discusses how her 50-year career as a chef shaped her approach to skincare formulation. She applies a food-first philosophy to ingredients, focusing on simplicity, sourcing and necessity – much like creating good bread with only a handful of essential ingredients.
  • Sensitive skin as the starting point: The family-led beauty brand began when Angela struggled to find plastic-free shaving products that didn’t irritate her ultra-sensitive skin. After experimenting at home, Kathy created a shave bar that transformed Angela’s skin, inspiring them to share it with friends and eventually launch a business.
  • Launching during life’s hardest moments: Angela opens up about being diagnosed with breast cancer the same week the brand launched. Rather than postponing their dream, they chose to continue, supporting each other through treatment while building the business. The experience reshaped their perspective on resilience, purpose and what truly matters in life and entrepreneurship.
  • Defining success through slow beauty: Instead of chasing retail expansion or rapid scaling, Angela and Kathy intentionally pursue slow, sustainable growth through direct-to-consumer sales and word of mouth. They explain why maintaining control over formulation and production matters more to them than rapid expansion, and how this approach aligns with their vision of authentic slow beauty.

Key takeaways include:

  • Success doesn’t have to mean scaling fast: Angela and Kathy challenge the dominant narrative that every beauty brand must aim for massive retail distribution. For them, success means helping the right customers rather than reaching the largest audience. By focusing on meaningful impact and manageable growth, they’ve built a business aligned with their lifestyle and values.
  • Simplicity can be powerful in formulation: Drawing parallels between cooking and cosmetics, Kathy emphasises that effective products don’t need long ingredient lists. Her research into ingredient sourcing and function led her to remove unnecessary components, including fragrances that can irritate sensitive skin. This approach demonstrates how restraint and intentionality can improve both product performance and consumer trust.
  • Personal stories create deeper emotional customer connection: Customers respond strongly to Lola Arnao Beauty’s authentic origin story and family-run identity. Angela explains that many buyers feel emotionally connected to the brand because it was born from real challenges rather than market trends. Word-of-mouth growth, gifting and shared experiences among sensitive-skin communities have become key drivers of success.
  • Collaboration works best with clear roles and shared values: Although they live and work together, Angela and Kathy maintain clarity around responsibilities – Kathy leads formulation and production, while Angela focuses on marketing and business strategy. Their shared upbringing in family businesses helped establish a strong work ethic and collaborative mindset. They demonstrate that disagreements are inevitable, but mutual respect and aligned goals make resolution easier.

Why Appetite Changes During Perimenopause—and What to Do About It

0

Whichever way you slice it, aging isn’t always a pleasant experience for women. And we’re not even talking about menopause alone: Perimenopause, the period leading up to it (no pun intended), can hit hard as well.

Classic symptoms like hot flashes and night sweats might be infamous (ever seen that viral video of steam rising from a woman’s head at an outdoor event?), but this life stage can also bring other side effects, like appetite changes, Rachel Pessah-Pollack, MD, an endocrinologist at NYU Langone Health and a clinical professor at the NYU Grossman School of Medicine, tells SELF.

So what does that mean? And what can you do about it? Here’s everything you need to know about this lesser-known side effect of perimenopause.

First, a refresher: What exactly is perimenopause?

If you swap the “r” with the first “e” and cut out the “i,” you essentially arrive at the answer: pre-menopause. More precisely, perimenopause is “the period of time leading up to the end of your menstrual cycles,” Melissa Groves Azzaro, RDN (a.k.a. the “Hormone Dietitian”), a practitioner who specializes in women’s health issues like PCOS and perimenopause, tells SELF. While menopause occurs around age 52 on average, your body really sets the stage around eight to 10 years before that as your ovaries start to produce less of the sex hormones estrogen and progesterone.

Perimenopause symptoms tend to appear in your mid-to-late 40s but can emerge as early as your mid-30s or as late as your mid-50s. In the beginning, you might see your cycles becoming shorter. “If you were typically a 28-day cycler and regular on the dot, you might notice them coming every 26 days or every 25 days,” Azzaro says, as an example. You could also experience more pain or heavier bleeding—a little like puberty in reverse.

Then, as perimenopause advances, your cycles will become decidedly more erratic. “You’ll notice a 28-day cycle, followed by a 15-day cycle, followed by a 60-day cycle,” Azzaro says. Ultimately, you’ll start skipping cycles entirely—“so that’s when you might go 60 days or 90 days between periods.”

How does perimenopause affect your appetite?

Remember when we said that perimenopause is regulated by fluctuating levels of estrogen and progesterone? Because estrogen naturally acts as an appetite suppressant by inhibiting hunger cues, it’s this specific hormonal shift that’s responsible for appetite changes during perimenopause, according to Dr. Pessah-Pollack.

Zendaya Has Me Seriously Considering Red Eyeliner — See Photos

0

I think most makeup wearers can relate when I say my default eyeliner shade is always some take on black or brown. Maybe I’ll do charcoal on a really wild day. I even have a couple of shades of blue and purple waiting in the wings in case I want to create colorful… well… wings. But red? I’m reluctant to put it lightly. Or at least I was until I saw Zendaya making it look like a new neutral.

Zendaya has been unsurprisingly killing it with the beauty and fashion moments as she promotes her new movie, The Drama. And while she’s been looking like a one-woman bridal fashion show for many of the appearances, she took a glamour-goth turn for the Rome premiere, wearing a black Giorgio Armani Privé gown previously worn by Cate Blanchett. (Something borrowed. Get it? Because the movie is about a wedding?)

The dress definitely called for some badass makeup, but instead of the bold, black liner you might expect, makeup artist Nikki Wolff went with red tones that really vibed with the burgundy backdrop at the event. Once you get past her bangs, very much intentionally styled by Ursula Stephen to fall in front of her eyes, Zendaya’s lids are covered in a smoky wash of fiery color with a seamless, shimmery blend.

The Three Words That Will Transform the Way You Get Dressed Every Single Day — Inside Out Style

twitterpinterestlinkedinmail

You Don’t Need Another Capsule Wardrobe. You Need Your Identity Revealed.

You’ve tried the capsule wardrobe. You’ve bought the “investment pieces.” You have a wardrobe of basics.  You’ve followed the style rules. So why does getting dressed still feel like such a struggle and you still feel that you lack style?

If you’re a woman over 40 who has spent years building a career, raising a family, and being everything to everyone, there’s a good chance your wardrobe reflects all of that responsibility. And not in a good way.

You bought what you hoped would work. You bought what was safe. You bought what was recommended. And somewhere along the way, you stopped buying for yourself as you got lost in the busyness of life.

The result? A wardrobe that feels OK, well, you’re not naked, and that’s a plus. But it’s not the stylish wardrobe you desire.

Here’s the truth nobody in the fashion industry wants to tell you: this isn’t a taste problem, nor is it a body problem (which you may think is the reason). It’s a definition problem. And it’s exactly what I’m solving in my new live masterclass, E³ – Your Style Identity Reset.

The Real Reason Style Feels So Hard

Most women believe that stylish people are simply born with an eye for fashion. That’s some innate talent you either have or don’t. That if they’re struggling, it means style just isn’t “their thing.”

This is one of the most damaging myths in the fashion industry, and I’ve spent over 22 years as an internationally certified image consultant dismantling it, because I too wasn’t born with style.  What I was born with was a willingness to learn and understand that style is both a science and an art and that it’s something you can learn.

Style isn’t instinct. It isn’t talent. It’s a decision framework. And until now, nobody has ever taught you one.

So you’ve been making expensive guesses. Buying things that seemed right in the store but somehow never quite worked at home. Accumulating a wardrobe full of options and still standing there every morning feeling like you have nothing to wear.

That exhausting cycle ends here.

Introducing E³ – Your Style Identity Reset

E³ is a 90-minute live masterclass where you will author your own personal three-word style identity, one that works for every occasion in your life and brings you three things: Empowerment, Ease, and Expression.

This is not a framework I hand to you. These words are authored entirely by you. Not by Instagram. Not by Pinterest. Not by the latest trend report. By you.

Once you have your three words, they become your personal filter for everything: what you buy, what you keep, what you wear, how you put together outfits, and how you show up in the world.

My client Elle calls her three words her “North Star,” because they keep her from drifting into sales racks and influencer trends that were never meant for her in the first place.

E³- Your Style Identity Reset masterclassWhat You’ll Learn Inside the Masterclass

Identify Your E³ Words

You will uncover the three power words that anchor your style. Not aspirational words. Not aesthetic trends. Words that reflect who you actually are now, and how you want to feel when you walk into any room.

Define What They Mean Specifically to You

“Polished” means something different to every woman. So does “Comfortable.” So does “Professional.” Inside E³, you will translate your three words into clear, personal definitions so they become practical decision tools rather than vague ideas floating around in your head.

Apply Them Across Every Area of Your Life

Style is not one-dimensional, and neither are you. You are not the same at a client meeting as you are at a weekend brunch or a school pick-up. You will learn how your E³ framework adapts without losing consistency, so your identity and your style stay intact in every setting.

Understand How the Percentages Shift

Your three words stay the same; the emphasis changes depending on the occasion. A business meeting might call for 60% Empowerment, 30% Expression, and 10% Ease. Pilates might flip that entirely. You will learn how to adjust the dial without abandoning your core, which means you always feel like you, regardless of what you’re wearing or where you’re going.

The Three Words That Will Transform the Way You Get Dressed Every Single Day — Inside Out Style

Here’s a quick example of how my percentages shift  – left to right

Outfit 1: Expression is first – my hand whimsically embellished with boro and sashiko jeans are pure self-expression, but they still have a lot of ease and comfort.  The blouse with the fluted sleeves is again an expression piece – I like the drama and uniqueness of the double layer, but it’s still soft and feminine and has ease as it’s very comfortable to wear, and it’s also empowering to me as it’s more dressy.  Then add in the fur bolero, which again has a high level of expression, and also feels polished and dressy, so empowerment as well, and keeps me warm, so fits my need for ease (as I get cold easily), then layer on my pink cashmere (comfortable  – ease, and hot pink – empowerment) vest.  The silver and rose gold boots are quirky (expression) and comfortable (ease), and rather than sneakers feel more dressy (silver and leather).

Outfit 2: Empowerment first – the check dress pants – whilst comfortable (ease) are dressier and more polished than jeans.  The hot pink is my bold empowerment colour here, and the blouse is satin so also dressy (whilst being very comfortable – ease – to wear).  Lastly that fur bolero again – it’s dressy but also in the context of every day – also an expression of my personality (makes me feel like me and a little quirky – not your average garment), and the bird brooch is a quirky Erstwilder pieces that is another expression element, but also has ease, it doesn’t get in the way of anything.

Outfit 3: Ease is first here – a puffer jacket to keep me warm – all about comfort and practicality, but again, it’s in a colour that lights me up which makes me feel more like me – expression – as well as the design of the jacket fits my criteria for body harmony – so adds in some empowerment (I always feel more confident in an outfit that suits me).  The snakeskin boots are my nod to expression here – quirky and fun, and they are empowering as they are not just about comfort, but the heel is low enough to fulfill my need for comfort.  The pants are stretchy and comfy – ease – but still in a bolder colour – expression.  The roll neck jumper underneath is comfortable – ease – warm – ease – but in my favourite cobalt blue – expression and empowerment.

You can start to see with these three examples just how, even when choosing practical garments (jeans or puffer jacket), there should still be elements of expression and empowerment in that choice.  And having this tool starts to make curating your wardrobe so much more effective.

Stop Outsourcing Your Style to Trends

Once you have a framework, you no longer need permission from influencers, sales racks, or seasonal edits. Trends become optional rather than directive. You choose what aligns with your identity. You confidently ignore what doesn’t.

Who Is This Masterclass For?

E³ was created for intelligent women who have realised that getting dressed has become harder rather than easier over the years. Women who have tried the advice, bought the basics, followed the rules, and still feel like something is missing.

You might recognise yourself in one (or all) of these:

  • You feel like your wardrobe is full, but you have nothing that truly feels like you
  • You spend more time second-guessing yourself than actually getting dressed
  • You’ve followed trends and influencers only to feel worse about your choices, not better
  • You’re at a stage of life where your body, your career, or your lifestyle has changed, and your old style no longer fits
  • You feel invisible, or worried about dressing too young, too old, or too safe
  • You’re tired of wasting money on things that end up unworn

This is not about following more rules. It’s about finally having a framework that is yours, built around your personality, your life, and who you actually are in this chapter.

Why This Works When Everything Else Hasn’t

The problem with most style advice, including capsule wardrobes, “invest in better basics” guidance, and the endless trend content on social media, is that it comes from the outside in. Someone else’s idea of what you should look like, applied generically to thousands of women who are nothing alike.

E³ works because it starts from the inside out.

I’ve spent over two decades working with thousands of clients worldwide, from university professors and scientists to doctors, lawyers and creative professionals. What I’ve learned is that every woman wants the same things at her core: to feel confident, aligned, and like the best version of herself. Not like someone else’s version of stylish.

I wasn’t born with style either. I struggled, overbought, and second-guessed myself just like you. What I discovered is that style follows logic and systems, just like any discipline you respect. I don’t tell women what to wear. I teach them how to decide, so they stop outsourcing their confidence to anyone else.

What You’ll Leave With

After 90 minutes together, you will have:

  1. A clearly defined three-word style identity that is entirely your own
  2. Personal definitions for each word so they work as practical, everyday tools
  3. A framework for adapting your style across every activity and occasion in your life
  4. The confidence to evaluate trends and ignore what isn’t relevant to you
  5. Clarity about what to buy, what to keep, and what no longer represents you
  6. A decision structure that removes hesitation and replaces it with alignment

No more wardrobe shame. No more expensive guesses. No more dressing to disappear.

The Perfect Lash Set for Monolids: Why Custom Mapping Always Wins

0

When it comes to lash artistry, one thing is clear, mono-lids don’t need fixing… they need intention.

Designing a lash set for monolid eyes isn’t about following trends. It’s about understanding the eye shape, enhancing natural beauty, and creating lift, openness, and balance without overwhelming the lid space.

This custom set by @bloombybrycie is the perfect example of how the right technique + mapping can completely elevate the final result.

Why Mono-lid Lash Sets Require a Different Approach

Mono-lids have minimal or no visible crease, which means traditional lash maps don’t always translate the same way. Without proper planning, lashes can disappear into the lid or look too heavy.

That’s why intentional styling is everything.

For this set, we used a strategic combination of curls and lightweight lashes to create a soft, lifted, kitten-eye effect that enhances the eye, without overpowering it.

The Lash Map Breakdown

This set was designed with layering and curl placement in mind to maximize visibility and lift.

Top Layer:

  • CC Curl (.05)

  • M Curl (.05) on the outer corners for lift + elongation

Bottom Layer:

  • CC Curl (.05)

✨ The result: a seamless blend that creates dimension while keeping the set soft, airy, and wearable.

Why M Curl is a Game-Changer for Monolids

If you’re working with monolid clients, M curl should be in your rotation.

Here’s why:

  • Creates an instant lifting effect

  • Helps lashes sit above the lid instead of getting lost

  • Enhances outer corners for that subtle, elongated shape

Paired with CC curl, it gives the perfect balance of structure + softness.

3 Pro Tips for Lashing Monolid Clients

1. Strong Curl = Visible Lift

Monolids benefit from curls that can push lashes upward and outwardmaking the eyes appear more open.

2. Lightweight Fans = Clean Dimension

Using .05 lashes keeps the set lightweight and fluffypreventing drooping while still adding fullness.

3. Map for the Eye Shape, Not Trends

Every client is different. What works on one eye shape won’t always work on another.
Customization will always outperform copy-and-paste lash maps.

The Final Result: Soft, Lifted, and Intentional 🤍

This set is the definition of effortless enhancement, a soft, lifted look that complements the client’s natural features instead of competing with them.

Because at the end of the day:
Custom always wins.
