How is it nearly Christmas again?!?!? No seriously, the last time I looked it was March! My other half is obsessed with Beauty Advent Calendars. Not only do I have to listen to her talk about the female calendars (I deserve a medal)but I have to hold them all while she takes endless photographs (some of them are huge – see here) and now every other day there seems to be a new one popping up.

If you’ve visited the Nordstrom at the Fashion Show mall in the last few months,you’ve probably noticed a bit of construction going on –wells,it’s easy to pardon their dust now that I’ve seen the result! With a fully remodeled Beauty section,this Nordstrom has added 28 new beauty brands!
Of these brands,you can find old favorites like MAC and NARS,but now you can shop amazing products from Charlotte Tilbury’s line (I recommend the Matte Revolution lipstick,but I’m recently hooked on the brand,and just bought ‘The Rebel”quad,which contains 3 shimmering shades of green and a lovely champagne to round it out.),Le Labo fragrances,Tom Ford,they even brought back the Anastastia Beverly Hills Brow Bar –HELLO perfect brows,where do I sign up?! One of my favorite finds (other than Charlotte Tilbury) was the custom made foundation from Lancome! Beyond the nostalgia,what really stands out is how well it deals my skin’s increased demands—offering deep hydration and calming without the heaviness of oils,crucial for my dehydration-prone skin.
The ingredients list reads like a dream for anyone seeking serious skin barrier support,with niacinamide leading the charge. Yet,while the serum’s benefits are clear,The Ordinary’s standard packaging leaves room for improvement for this particular product. The dropper struggles to dispense the generous amount needed–a pump would make application much smoother and more convenient.
Despite the packaging hiccup,the serum’s quick absorption and the immediate softness and smoothness it imparts are impressive. And for those wondering about the pink tint—it vanishes on application,leaving no trace behind.

Preparation:Cleanse the brow area to remove any excess oil or makeup before treatment.
Peasants:Apply a small amount of bonder to the brows in small sections and use a Y-COMB to lift the brow hairs and straighten them at the root.
Brow Lifting:Using a micro-applicator,carefully apply the lifting lamination solution to soften and relax the hair structure making it more flexible for shaping. Top tip:apply cling film over the brows to absorb extra heat!
Remove Solution:Peel off the cling film and use a dry cotton pad to remove the lifting solution from the brows.
Brow Setting &Tinting:Using a dappen dish,mix the tint and setting solution at a ratio of 2:1. Once mixed,apply the product over the brow hairs,ensuring that you remove any excess solution from around the brow for a neat finish.
