The Non-Rhode Makeup Hailey Bieber Wore On Her Birthday

0

Few people can spark a frenzy like Hailey Bieber. The model, influencer, mogul and mom recently celebrated her 29th birthday in style—but for beauty fans, Bieber’s makeup tutorials are the real celebration. Her TikTok is packed with GRWMs that show off both her skill and her enviable product lineup, and her latest birthday video is no exception.

Part of the charm is her casual approach. She’s not holding every product up to the camera, but she is showing exactly how she uses them to create the look. The result is a video that feels relaxed and natural, much like her style, and has people running to the comments to break down the products she actually used. This time, we’ve done the work for you. Of course, there are lots of Rhode items, but the others may surprise you.

If there’s one thing to know about Bieber’s makeup routine, it’s that skin care always comes first. Like most of her tutorials, she starts this one with Rhode’s Glazing Milk ($32) and a layer of the brand’s Barrier Butter ($36). The pairing is an essential part of her signature makeup looks, as it primes the skin beforehand. After smoothing out the cream, she begins applying her makeup, adding contour shades, concealer, blush and finishing with a handful of lip products. And while it’s no surprise that Rhode’s makeup makes an appearance, the other products she reaches for are what really stand out.

The first is Kosas’ Revealer Color Corrector ($32), which she taps into the inner and outer corners of her eyes to brighten the area. She doesn’t list the exact shade, but the creamy dots look a lot like Magic, a soft pink ideal for counteracting discoloration. She sets everything with Charlotte Tilbury’s Airbrush Flawless Powder ($49) before moving on to blush. And then there’s the lips. Bieber’s lip looks are always soft, full and effortless. In this tutorial, she uses a mix of favorites, including Mary Phillips’ m.p.h Lip Pencil ($25), and finishes with Violette_FR’s Bisou Balm ($29).

See the non-Rhode staples in her routine, ahead.

The Best Brain-Boosting Workout for Women—and How to Fit It Into Your Routine

0

Zone 2 cardio workouts have gotten a lot of love lately. The second least-intense type of cardio on a scale of 1 to 5, zone 2 involves raising your heart rate only a bit—to 60% or 70% of your max. It puts little stress on the body and therefore doesn’t trigger the kind of cortisol spike (albeit, a temporary one) that more intense workouts can bring. Hence why a lot of women, particularly those in midlife, tend to hang out in this zone, Louisa Nicola, MMed, a New York–based neurophysiologist who studies Alzheimer’s disease in women, tells SELF. But there’s real value in bumping up the effort to zone 5 (or 90% of your max heart rate) every so often, particularly for your brain health, she says.

To be sure, doing any form of movement offers some brain-boosting benefits: It can help stem inflammation, shuttle more blood (and therefore, more oxygen and nutrients) to your brain, and even pump out proteins that support the growth of new brain cells or strengthen their connections. With zone 5 cardio, though, you can magnify several of these effects and channel others that may come only with that extra burst of intensity.

For instance, a 2024 study of older adults suggests brief bouts of zone 5 cardio interspersed with recovery periods can trigger better performance on memory tests and less age-related shrinkage of the brain’s memory center, as compared to low- or medium-intensity exercise. And a 2020 study found that high-intensity interval training (HIIT) (not moderate-intensity continuous training or resistance training) improved older adults’ cognitive flexibility, or ability to quickly switch between mental tasks. Keep reading to learn why incorporating zone 5 cardio in your workout routine may help keep your brain sharp, and how Nicola suggests everyone—particularly women in midlife—do just that.

Why high-intensity cardio especially supports brain health

Jamming out quick bursts of high-key cardio increases your VO₂ max, or the max rate at which your body can use oxygen during exercise; a higher level reflects greater cardiorespiratory fitness. This, coupled with the “sheer shunting of blood to the brain during high-intensity training can benefit brain health,” Nicola says, “as the brain is a highly vascular organ and needs a constant supply of blood flow to function at its peak.” Hence why studies have linked greater cardiorespiratory fitness and higher VO₂ max to better working memory, decision-making, and processing speed, as well as lower risk of dementia.

That’s an especially relevant finding for perimenopausal women, Nicola says. The related drop in estrogen can lead to dips in muscle mass and fitness; if you don’t mitigate these shifts by keeping on top of physical activity, including high-effort cardio, you could then put your brain at greater risk of decline too, she explains.

An amazing real-life acne story (with before and after photos!)

style=”;”
/>

Every now and then, a customer story lands in our inbox that makes us stop everything, sit down and feel *all the things*.

This is one of those stories 🙂  (And yes, we did shed a little happy tear).

Isabella, one of our beloved Woohoo customers and stockists at Pamper Me Pretty, sent us her skin journey after years of battling painful cystic acne.

And honestly? We were floored.

Not just by her before-and-afters (which are wild!) but by her honesty, her persistence  and the glow-up that followed.

“I was struggling with bad cystic acne before I discovered Woohoo. Over many years, I tried so many different brands of skincare, and none of them gave me the results that Woohoo has.”

Like so many of us, Isabella had been through the wringer: expensive creams, endless products, and a rollercoaster of hope and disappointment. When she eventually started on medication to help clear her skin, she knew she also needed a routine that wouldn’t aggravate it further.

That’s when she discovered Woohoo Body and everything started to shift.
“Once I started on Accutane to clear my cystic acne, I started seeing changes in my skin within weeks. Pairing this with using Woohoo products has kept my skin so hydrated and glowy, and has really helped with healing my acne scars which I was most worried about, since my acne was extremely bad.”

And let’s just say, the transformation speaks for itself!!! We saw the before-and-after pics and (no joke) our entire team audibly gasped.

“I’m honestly surprised my skin looks and feels the way it does today, considering how it was only a year ago. The biggest benefit from using Woohoo would have to be how smooth and glassy my skin looks.”

Today, Isabella’s skin is calm, clear, and happy. But for Isabella, the glow-up isn’t just about aesthetics. It’s about confidence and feeling good about what she’s applying onto her skin.

“Finally, I’m comfortable not wearing makeup everyday and loving my skin. It always looks so fresh and glowy. I love how confident I feel!”

So, what advice does Isabella have for fellow glow-getters still in the trenches?

“Be consistent with your skincare routine to see the results you want. Skincare should be done morning and night. And it’s okay to go on medication if you’re really struggling. Woohoo products have worked great for me alongside my medication. My skin has come a long way thanks to these products. Woohoo has really helped my skin through its healing journey and I’ve never been happier with how my skin looks today.”

EU SCCS Confirms Restricted Safe Use Levels for Tea Tree Oil in Final Opinion

0

THE WHAT? The European Union’s Scientific Committee on Consumer Safety (SCCS) has issued its final opinion on Tea Tree Oil (TTO), confirming limited safe-use concentrations across four adult-only cosmetic categories and outlining new considerations linked to ingredient stability and updated ISO standards.

THE DETAILS Published on 14 November 2025, the SCCS’s final assessment largely mirrors its June draft but introduces notable clarifications. The committee concludes that TTO can be used safely as an anti-seborrheic and anti-microbial ingredient at concentrations up to 2.0% in shampoo, 1.0% in shower gel, 1.0% in face wash, and 0.1% in face cream, provided the oil complies with ISO 4730:2017 specifications and is used only in adult, non-aerosolised formats to avoid inhalation exposure. The SCCS reiterates that TTO is a moderate skin sensitiser and flags the absence of stability data, noting the oil’s susceptibility to degradation via light, heat, air and moisture. It stresses that finished formulations must maintain TTO composition within ISO limits and highlights the relevance of the forthcoming ISO 4730:2025 revision addressing enantiomeric parameters. Environmental safety falls outside the SCCS mandate and was not evaluated. Separately, the Global Cosmetic Ingredient Regulatory Database (Global CosIng) notes that TTO is listed in key regulatory inventories worldwide, including China’s IECIC.

THE WHY? The opinion provides clarity for formulators and brands using Tea Tree Oil, defining acceptable concentration limits while underscoring the need for robust stability controls to ensure regulatory compliance.

By: London Summers

In this exclusive interview, London Summers talk to Varicka  Williams about her journey, her craft, and the heart behind the  styles that keep Lil Mo and her community looking iconic.

What makes Varicka truly stand out is her rare ability to deliver  celebrity-level styles to everyone who sits in her chair. Whether  she’s crafting Lil Mo’s show-stopping braids or styling a client  from her neighborhood, she brings the same excellence, detail,  and star-quality energy every single time.

Exclusive Interview by London Summers

HYPE HAIR: Varicka, it’s truly a pleasure speaking with you about your  hair journey. When did you first start braiding hair, and where  are you based?

VARICKA WILLIAMS: The pleasure is mine. I started braiding hair in 2016, and  honestly, it came to me naturally. It was never just a hobby it was a  gift that helped me support myself and my family. Over the years,  that gift grew into passion, skill, and purpose.  I’m based in Miami, FL, where I specialize in feed-ins, stitch braids,  and transformations. Miami shaped a lot of my hustle, but my roots  shaped my drive.

HH: You’re known for unique, recognizable styles. It’s so impressive to see your work on an R&B icon like Lil’ Mo. Could you walk us through your design process when creating her looks?

VW: Working with someone as iconic and expressive as Lil’ Mo  pushes me creatively in the best way. My process starts with her energy. Lil’ Mo is bold, emotional, and powerful so her hairstyles  have to match her presence.  I look at her outfit, the mood of the event, what story she wants to  tell, and then I blend that with my signature stitch precision and  clean, luxury finish. I always want her braids to feel like a  moment not just a style.

HH: What is it like working with Lil’ Mo? What makes your  creative partnership work so well?

VW: It’s honestly an honor. She’s real, she’s soulful, and she allows  me to create without limits. Our partnership works because we trust  each other, she trusts my vision, and I understand her personality as  an artist. There’s no ego, just artistry. When a client especially a celebrity  gives you that freedom, the creativity becomes effortless.

HH: When it comes to versatility and creating new looks, what  inspires your ideas for clients?

VW: I’m inspired by women’s stories. Every woman who sits in my  chair is carrying something, confidence, pain, transition, rebirth. I  ask myself, “How can I make her feel seen?” I pull from fashion, culture, angles, colors, and sometimes just the  vibe she walks in with. My creativity comes from wanting every  client to feel like the best version of herself when she gets up from  my chair.

HH: What advice would you give to a local hair braider/stylist  in the inner city with dreams of styling music’s biggest stars?

VW: Don’t chase the celebrity master your craft. Your name will be  in rooms before you ever step into them if your work speaks loud  enough. Stay consistent, stay humble, and invest in your education and your  branding. Trust that your gift makes space for you. The right people  will find you when your skill, attitude, and professionalism align.

HH: Black hairstyles are often copied by other cultures without  giving proper credit to the originators. What does Black hair  mean to you personally?

VW: Black hair is identity, history, creativity, and survival. Our braids are more than a trend, they’re a language. They carry tradition, artistry, and a connection to who we are. To me, braiding is healing. It’s a community. It’s a form of expression that has been passed down through generations. Black hair isn’t just something we do, it’s who we are.

HH: Tell us about TrapStar Beauty, the vision behind it, and  who inspired you to keep going with your dream during the  hardest days?

VW: TrapStar Beauty is my baby. It represents elevation,  opportunity, and transformation. The name comes from turning  struggle into success spinning pressure into purpose. The vision behind it is to create a luxury braiding experience and  eventually build TrapStar Beauty Suites & The TrapStar Braider

Institute a space for stylists to learn, grow, and build six-figure  careers through education, structure, and technique.

What keeps me going? My daughter. I want to show her what it  looks like to stand in your gift. And honestly, God has carried me  through every season. On the hardest days, I remembered why I  started and who I’m becoming.

HH: What are your must-have products when braiding clients’  hair, and what is your personal go-to style when doing your own  hair?

VW: My must-haves are my own TrapStar Beauty products, this is  the perfect moment to brag on them! I use my Trap Paste Edge  Control, Trap Braid Gel, and my TrapStar Heat Brush, which is  essential for every style I create. I designed these products to give a  clean, long-lasting finish with the type of precision my brand is  known for.

For myself, my go-to style when doing my own hair is two short  braids simple, cute, and still very “me.” It’s a timeless look that  keeps my hair neat while showing off my technique.

When she isn’t styling Lil Mo for major appearances, she’s  empowering young girls and women throughout MIAMI,  becoming a legend in her own right.

Affordable Transitional Staples for Fall

0

I’m excited to partner with Walmart to share some fall(ish) fashion finds at Everyday Low Prices! I love summer and I’m going to miss it, but fall has my heart! I live for fall layers and can’t wait for cooler weather! As the temperatures drop (one day soon I hope!) I am breaking out these two jeans – a wide-legged and tapered leg and all of these cute tops and sweaters. It’s been fun to shop for new pieces from Walmart to refresh my fall wardrobe without breaking the bank… can we also talk about these adorable sets for Olive?!

Let’s dive into some of the items I purchased!

*This post is in partnership with Walmart*

I love these Time and True women’ss wide leg trouser style jeans. They’re pretty TTS and with a heel on they fit my length almost perfectly! I also have this stripe top in a blue colorway as well and wore it all summer. I love the fit of it so much – cute untucked, tied and the waist and a one tuck too. Olive’s little set is from Walmart as well and only $15. She’s 6-1/2, but the 5T fit her perfectly.

Wide-legged pants | Top

LOVE this entire outfit! These highwaisted pants are so fun and don’t break the bank, but still on trend. This Free Assembly top is only $20 and comes in sevearl colors.

Olive’s $15 set | My jeans | My top

This dress is adorable (size down) and would be so cute with high boots in the fall… for now, I’ll wear it with sneakers.

Wearing those same wide-legged trouser jeans again in this picture, with my favorite staple tank from Walmart and this adorable sweater which is under $20!

Probiotics in Natural Skin Care

0

How much do you know about probiotic skin care? It’s a relatively new craze that has been growing in popularity over the last couple of years, and chances are you’ve already been using natural skin care products with probiotics, without even knowing it. If you aren’t even sure what a probiotic is, don’t worry, we’ll fill you in on all the juicy deets. And if you aren’t totally convinced a probiotic is right for your skin, keep reading! We’ll explain why probiotics are proven to work, how they help our skin, and how even vegan probiotics can help any skin type when used in natural skin care products.

Probiotic Pills

What’s a Probiotic, and Why Is It in My Skin Care?

So what is a probiotic, anyway? Ultimately, it’s just a fancy term for healthy bacteria. Probiotics are generally produced when certain kinds of dairy liquids, like milk or yogurt, are fermented. Probiotics are then extracted from the liquid, and converted into a supplement or added to other foods. A probiotic helps reintroduce and stimulate local bacteria that have a positive effect on the body. Most often taken as a vitamin for gut health, the discovery that topical probiotics are great for skin health is somewhat new. Still, this new natural skin care ingredient is taking the beauty world by storm. We know it’s hard to imagine that bacteria on our skin can actually be a good thing, but keep your mind open while we break it down for you!

Enter the microbiome. Remember the movie Osmosis Joneswhere the body was turned into a complex world of cells and bacteria? That’s sort of how we imagine the microbiome, which is basically the community of bacteria living on our skin. Obviously, we can’t deny that some types of bacteria are bad. Acne-causing bacterias from sweat and dirt can turn our smooth skin into a breakout zone overnight. But don’t judge every bacterium by its name! Some bacteria on the skin can actually be a good thing, because they help to fight off the bad bacteria that cause premature aging, breakouts, and imbalanced skin. If maintaining a healthy diet and drinking plenty of water has such a powerful effect on skin care, you can bet that probiotics (both ingestible and topical) have just as strong of a bond with clear skin.

Probiotics and Fermentation

Fermented Foods

Fermentation is very closely linked to probiotics, and is a helpful ally in the quest for both internal and external health. Some of our favorite foods, including cheese, sourdough bread, beer, and many more are actually made through fermentation. Fermentation is the process of introducing healthy bacteria to break down the sugars or acids in a product. Fermented foods can be good for us because they filter into the digestive tract of our bodies. Introducing healthy bacteria via fermented foods supports the natural processes of our immune systems. This contributes to better digestion, better filtration of toxins out of the body, and of course, better skin. Since most probiotics are processed via dairy and are not vegan, great probiotic options for those of us on vegan diets include kombucha, tempeh, miso, kimchi, and non-dairy yogurt.

Fermented Natural Skin Care

As we mentioned, eating fermented foods supports our immune system’s ability to process out toxins. How does this relate to healthy skin? Well, toxic bacteria are most often to blame for many of our skin woes. When our immune system filters out toxins for us, it allows our skin to relax a little bit and results in smoother, happier skin. Toxic skin bacteria can throw off our skin’s pH balance or oxidize our skin cells, causing damage that results in dull or aged looking skin. Applying fermented products or probiotics topically will support the process of detoxifying the body and the skin, which is already happening in our digestive system from consuming probiotics. When our skin’s surface – the microbiome – is in healthy harmony, the remaining healthy bacteria keeps our skin looking and feeling its best.

100% PURE Sea Culture Family

Natural Skin Care Made with Probiotics

Restorative Sea Culture Toner

This soothing, skin balancing toner features a wholesome list of natural skin care ingredients. In combination with nutrient-rich algae and sea kelp, this toner is a natural skin care gem that’s perfect for dry to combination skin types who want balanced, glowing, youthful skin.

Restorative Sea Culture Extra Riche Cream

This luscious, rich cream is great for dry to combination skin and is 100% cruelty-free and vegan. The active probiotic culture in this product, Alteromonas Ferment Extract, comes from deep sea algae and boosts hydration and protection of the skin. This results in repairative benefits for those with dry skin, and restores the moisture bonds in our skin cells for a dewy, glowing appearance. This natural moisturizer also serves luxurious texture and nutrients from organic shea butter, organic coconut oil and organic jojoba seed oil. These are all rich in vitamin E and great for balancing moisture levels in the skin.

100% PURE Fermented Rice Products

Fermented Rice Water Line

Did you know that sake and fermented rice water are the same thing? Who would have thought that our favorite fermented Japanese spirit is actually good for our skin? Sake is a fermented drink and natural skin care ingredient that contains many enzymes, amino acids, and minerals. Sake also acts as a natural skin care exfoliant for softening and renewing dull, lackluster skin.

Our Fermented Rice Water Cleanser contains lemon, papaya, and pineapple, which brighten the skin and speed up skin cell turnover to reveal new, more youthful layers of skin. The licorice and bearberry extracts in this formula, along with sake, help to even complexion and neutralize dark spots through melanin (pigment) regulation. White mulberry helps to balance skin and provides some anti-aging properties, while willow and honeysuckle extracts soothe skin and kill skin-irritating bacteria.

The 100% PURE vegan Fermented Rice Water Toner also contains fermented rice water (sake) as a natural exfoliant that brightens and evens the skin. This natural skin care probiotic formula also contains citrus extracts of grapefruit and lemon for even brighter, more glowing skin. Niacinamide (vitamin B3) is included in the formula for a boost of anti-aging power, and shiitake mushroom extract contributes to radiant, balanced skin.

You can finish your probiotic skin care routine by layering on the Fermented Rice Water Serum for skin-plumping hydration and deep infiltration of skin brightening ingredients. Soothing, hydrating aloe and anti-inflammatory, toning rosehip oil are included in this serum for the perfect precursor to your moisturizer. Avocado oil introduces fatty acids for more hydrated, healthier skin and essential oils of lavender, bergamot, and vetiver help to bring skin to a harmonious balance. When you match this serum with the similar ingredients found in the other natural skin care products in the Fermented Rice Water line, the results are sure to be glowing, softened skin.

Are you buzzing over the natural skin care benefits of probiotics? Try incorporating healthy bacterias into your natural skin care routine, and even your diet. Remember, if you’re vegan or trying to become vegan, opt for fermented products instead of probiotics (unless the packaging states that they’re vegan probiotics). Your internal and external health need balance to remain healthy, and a good probiotic boost may just be what you’re missing!

The Connection Between Probiotics and a Balanced Skin pH

When we think of skincare, we often focus on hydration, anti-aging ingredients, and acne treatments—but one often overlooked factor in maintaining healthy skin is pH balance. Your skin’s pH determines how well it can protect itself from harmful bacteria, retain moisture, and resist irritation. A healthy pH for skin typically falls between 4.5 and 5.5, slightly acidic to ward off pathogens and support barrier function.

Probiotics can play a critical role in restoring and maintaining this balance. When the skin’s microbiome is compromised—due to over-exfoliation, harsh cleansers, pollution, or antibiotic use—the pH can become unbalanced, making skin more prone to redness, sensitivity, breakouts, and dryness. By reintroducing beneficial bacteria through probiotic-infused skincare, we help repopulate the skin’s surface with microbes that support optimal acidity and a healthy barrier.

This not only helps calm irritation and reduce inflammation but also strengthens the skin’s defenses over time. Probiotics may also inhibit the growth of harmful bacteria that thrive in higher pH environments, making them especially beneficial for those with acne-prone or sensitive skin.

If you’ve ever experienced tight, itchy, or overly reactive skin after using a “cleanser that’s too clean,” there’s a good chance your pH was thrown off. Adding probiotics to your skincare routine—particularly in leave-on treatments like serums, essences, or moisturizers—can help recalibrate your skin’s pH and leave it feeling soothed, resilient, and balanced.

Frequently Asked Questions About Probiotics in Skin Care

1. What do probiotics do for the skin?
Probiotics help balance the skin’s microbiome—the ecosystem of bacteria, fungi, and other microorganisms that live on the skin. When applied topically, probiotics can strengthen the skin barrier, reduce inflammation, and help defend against environmental stressors. They also promote the growth of beneficial bacteria, which can crowd out harmful bacteria that cause acne, irritation, and sensitivity. As a result, probiotics can improve hydration, calm redness, reduce breakouts, and support a clearer, more balanced complexion.

2. Are probiotic skin care products good for acne?
Yes, probiotic skincare can be beneficial for acne-prone skin. Breakouts are often caused or worsened by an overgrowth of acne-causing bacteria (such as C. acnes). Probiotics work by introducing beneficial bacteria that restore microbial balance and reduce inflammation. This can help reduce the severity and frequency of acne flare-ups. Additionally, probiotics may strengthen the skin’s barrier, helping to prevent future breakouts triggered by environmental aggressors, stress, or hormonal fluctuations.

3. Can I use probiotic skincare if I have sensitive skin?
Probiotic skincare is often ideal for sensitive skin because it focuses on restoring balance and calming inflammation. When the microbiome is disrupted, the skin is more likely to react to ingredients or environmental factors. Probiotics can soothe the skin by reinforcing the barrier and reducing hypersensitivity. However, as with any new skincare product, it’s important to check for other ingredients in the formula and perform a patch test before full application.

4. What’s the difference between probiotics, prebiotics, and postbiotics in skincare?

  • Probiotics are live beneficial bacteria applied topically to support a balanced skin microbiome.
  • Prebiotics are nutrients (like plant sugars or fibers) that feed the good bacteria already on your skin, helping them thrive.
  • Postbiotics are the byproducts or metabolites of probiotics, such as peptides, enzymes, and acids, that provide antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and barrier-supporting benefits.
In skincare, many products combine these for a synergistic effect, helping support the skin’s overall health from multiple angles.

5. Are all probiotic skin care products vegan?
Not necessarily. Many probiotics are derived from dairy-based fermentation processes, such as those involving milk or yogurt. However, vegan probiotics do exist—they’re derived from plant-based fermentation processes using ingredients like rice, seaweed, or vegetables. If you’re following a vegan lifestyle, look for products specifically labeled as containing vegan probiotics or fermented botanical extracts. Always check ingredient lists and certifications to ensure the product aligns with your values.

ANFORH Texture Volume Spray Review

0

I recently had the pleasure of exploring ANFORH – the brainchild of Robin James, renowned for his ‘A Man For Himself’ platform.

After a decade of reviewing hair products, Robin has launched his own brand, and I was eager to see if his Texture Volume Spray (TVS) lived up to the hype!

Who is ANFORH?

ANFORH is the culmination of Robin James’s experience and his desire to fill a gap in the haircare market. Stemming from his YouTube channel and hugely prominent social media presence, ANFORH (mANFORHimself) represents a product line designed not just for men, but for anyone seeking great hair texture and volume.

The debut product, Texture Volume Spray, is specifically formulated for those with fine, soft, and straight hair, offering volume, texture, and the appearance of thicker hair.

What is the Texture Volume Spray?

TVS is a hybrid between a sea salt spray and a thickening tonic. It’s formulated to provide volume, texture, and the appearance of thicker hair without the usual tackiness or dryness associated with such products, and it delivers.

The key ingredients, Epsom and sea salts, work to enhance hair volume and texture, creating a fuller look especially for those with fine or soft hair. Meadowfoam seed oil acts as a heat protectant, while aloe and witch hazel hydrate and soothe the scalp. As promised, TVS absolutely offers a lightweight, reworkable hold suitable for various styling needs, whether air-dried for natural texture or blow-dried for amplified volume and definition.

TVS in Use

In my trial with TVS, I found it incredibly easy and effective to use. I tested it on Mr. Manface, who has the ideal hair type for this product – fine and soft – my own hair is too long plus any volume products create an instant bouffant.

After applying 2-3 sprays to towel-dried hair and blow-drying, the result was impressive. The spray provided a substantial yet manageable texture and hold. What stood out was the lack of greasiness and the ability to shape the hair effortlessly.

For an added touch, I used M3 hair clay to lift the fringe, but the spray worked so well that no additional styling products were necessary.

Conclusion

ANFORH Texture Volume Spray is more than just a hair product; it’s a testament to Robin James’s understanding of hair. It simplifies the styling process, cuts down on the need for multiple products, and leaves hair with a natural, textured look.

The delightful scent is a bonus, making the styling experience as pleasant as it is effective! For those with fine, soft hair looking for an all-in-one solution, ANFORH is a brand that’s definitely worth trying.

I’m So Grateful for Maybelline’s ‘Hot Frosty’ Reunion

0

I wish I could make all your holiday dreams come true this year, but I can only help check a few things off the wishlist. Shall we unwrap the gifts?! The first: Two of your favorite holiday rom-com leads are reuniting. There’s a good concealer involved, too.

Actually, maybe that does cross everything off? I’m not sure what else you could ever want.

As part of their 20205 holiday campaign, Maybelline is releasing a microdrama called Maybe This Christmas. The five-part series stars Hot Frosty’s Lacey Chabert and Dustin Milligan. Plus Maybelline’s Instant Age Rewind Eraser Concealer.

The Story

The microdrama follows two NYC neighbors flirting through their windows as they prepare for the holidays. There’s a Christmas decoration box collision meet-cute, of course. And then…

“What begins as a cozy romance quickly unravels into a mystery about love, illusion, and what we choose to conceal—leaving viewers wondering if Lacey is hiding more than just dark circles under her eyes,” shared the brand.

Chabert is always hoping to put people in the holiday spirit, bringing a little “love and joy and comfort” through the stories she tells.

“When this opportunity came along, I was so excited to reunite with Dustin because he’s just absolutely wonderful,” she tells Byrdie. “And then also to tell a holiday story that’s really whimsical and, you know, a slightly different version of [Hot Frosty]. And it has this kind of genre-bending twist to it that I thought was really, really fun and lighthearted.”

The Process

“I love telling stories that are centered around the holidays because of the traditions, because I enjoy the holidays so much in real life,” Chabert says.

As far as collaborating once again with the Hot Frosty? Chabert says reuniting with her co-star was a delight—especially because you never know when you’ll have the chance to work with someone again.

“He always wants to make sure you’re comfortable,” she explains. “He’d ad lib great stuff and always brought a lot of creativity to every scene. He’s kind and funny and always has wonderful ideas. And we just had a really fun day together on set.”

The Products

Chabert looked like a natural in the microdrama… probably because she is. It’s often questionable, but this star was definitely born with it.

Still, having her favorite Maybelline products on set helped her get in character.

“I actually love this product so much. The Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Concealer is something that I’ve had in my makeup kit for a really long time,” she says. “It’s so easy to apply, it comes in great shades, it’s moisturizing, it’s medium to full coverage.”

Besides using the product on her under-eyes, the Mean Girls star appreciates a lighter shade as a highlighter every once in a while.

“You can even use a darker shade for a little bit of a contour, if you want,” she adds. “And the thing is, it’s very user friendly. It’s easy to apply.”

Maybelline

Aside from covering dark circles to perfect her looks this season, the icon is a big fan of Maybelline’s mascaras. And a holiday red lip, naturally.

“Getting dressed to go to a holiday party is always really fun and exciting,” she says. “I find I’m more drawn to [a bold lip] during the holiday season, especially if I’m dressing up. I think it’s a fun way to complete a look.”
