THE DETAILS The new line marks the brand’s move into paediatric and family dermatology, leveraging more than 20 years of clinical skincare expertise. The launch collection includes a wash and shampoo, moisturisers, barrier cream, massage oil and sunscreen, all formulated to be hypoallergenic, paediatrician-approved and free from SLS/SLES, parabens, mineral oil, silicones, sulphates and phthalates. The products meet a pH 5.5 benchmark and have undergone dermatology-grade testing for sensitive newborn skin.
Ceuticoz plans to distribute the range through pharmacies, maternity centres, dermatology and paediatric clinics, speciality baby retailers and modern trade channels, supported by a dedicated medical outreach kit for healthcare professionals. Prices sit between ₹500 and ₹1200, with packaging made from recyclable HDPE/PET. Additional phase-two product extensions targeting specific infant skin and scalp concerns are in development.

Cardi, who recently welcomed a baby boy with boyfriend Stefon Diggs, celebrated Diggs’s birthday over the weekend with a variety of fabulous wigs and outfits, kicking things off with a short, chin-length bob in a platinum-and-deep blue color palette reminiscent of vintage denim. Her hair, styled by her go-to hairstylist Tokyo Stylez, was deeply parted to one side for a peekaboo effect and to show off the icy blonde roots, which transitioned from a steely baby blue to a dark denim at the ends.

When the missus handed me a 20ml bottle of News the Merine Eu the Parfuum by Eight & Bob my initial reaction was “who the f**k are Eight & Bob” – I’d never of the fragrance or the brand and given that it’s taken about six months for me to write down my thoughts I gave this one not a second thought until I pulled out all of the aftershaves I hadn’t yet written about (there are over fifteen – when do I start classifying this as an addiction?!?).
Knowing nothing about the brand, the fragrance, the notes, nothing I went to take a peek and do a little research into who Eight & Bob are and where you can pick up a bottle. It turns out that 1, this stuff isn’t cheap – £130 for a 100ml bottle of it from John Lewis here and 2, it’s actually a unisex fragrance for both men and women.
Normally I find reading about the history of a brand quite tedious, but the story behind Eight & Bob is really quite interesting – I won’t ruin it here, but it involves a Parisian aristocrat and a young John F Kennedy in 1937. You can check out the history here.
The notes to Nuit de Megeve are:
Head: Grapefruit, petit grains and clove buds
Heart: Tonka beans, orris and black coffee
Dry-down: Vetiver, tobacco and musks
After a spray or two the first thing that struck me was that it was far, far too feminine for me – it was an instant “nope” from me and as the fragrance triggered my memory this reminded me of my Auntie Sue (in a good way – she has great fragrance tastes) but I didn’t want to be smelling like a 60+ female. Initially thoughts were not positive, but it was obvious from the fragrance that the sweetness of the grapefruit on the nose was a little too sharp for my liking. It is a rather heavy fragrance despite the citrus head notes but thankfully these don’t last and the fragrance evolves quickly and alters so much that I had to fundamentally change my assessment after fifteen minutes.
The sharpness of the citrus dries away quickly and it becomes a much smoother level of sweetness as the vanilla like note from the tonka bean blend with the coffee to make this much warmer, and in turn, much more masculine.
Within thirty minutes you are left with the final fragrance and this is where my love for Nuit de Megeve really explodes. The vetiver and tobacco provide excellent balance to the sweetness and tones it down to more of an earthy warmth. Lovely!
Even though it gets more masculine it sits perfectly as a unisex fragrance – not too light and not overly heavy on the musks and earthy notes.
Once dried down this is in a word – lush.
What really amazed me about this fragrance was it’s longevity on my skin – it’s quite possible the most hardwearing and long lasting of any aftershave I’ve ever tried before. A couple of sprays in the morning and you can still detect it on pulse points some 24 hours later – that’s astounding.
When testing this out I sprayed my wrists and then a couple of hours later had a shower – even after a good scrub in the shower I could still pick up hints of the tonka bean and vetiver. Wow!
Expensive, yes, but worth every penny. Sadly, this introduction to Eight & Bob is going to seriously destroy my bank account over the coming years. Since I started writing this post I’ve had the chance to wrap my sniffing tackle around a few other offerings from the brand and like this they just ooze luxurious quality.

As a sunscreen devotee and a makeup wearer, my skin loves a good double cleanse. Even if I’m just donning a little concealer here and there, an oil-based cleanser is the best method for fully removing it from my skin, and then of course SPF requires a little extra help to remove, too. I start with a good cleansing balm and finish with a non-stripping gel cleanser. Though I am a fan of many cleansing balms, my favorite as of late is Origins Youthtopia Apple Butter Cleansing Balm ($39), and for many reasons. Here’s my honest review.
The Benefits of This Cleansing Balm
I’ve loved so many Origins formulas over the years, from the Plantscription Serum and the Ginzing Eye Cream to the pink Retexturizing Mask, which by the way, is in new opaque packaging, so you can no longer see the pink clay inside. (The formula wasn’t changed, but just a heads up if you were wondering!). OK, I digress—back to this fabulous cleanser. First thing I have to point out is that it’s a cleansing balm in a tube, not a jar. As someone who usually washes my face in the shower, I love having a tube with an attached lid, versus a jar that I have to open when my hands are slippery (not to mention, I have to find a place to put the detached lid, and my shower doesn’t have a ton of shelf space). A cleansing balm in a tube is a gift in itself, but then there’s the awesome formula inside.
The key ingredients include apple seed oil and shea butter, and the texture is silky and buttery. What’s really cool is that the apple seed oil is upcycled from the leftover seeds after apple cider is produced. The seeds are cold-pressed and filtered to create the oil, which is rich in omegas and linoleic acid, which is a super moisturizing essential fatty acid. You can feel this moisture when you use the product—it’s really kind to a sensitive skin barrier—and I’d highly recommend it for anyone who considers dryness a concern.
It also has a light apple scent, but I love that it doesn’t smell synthetic like some cleansing balms do. Origins says its “Scent Specialist crafted a green and herbaceous mix with vibrant galbanum, citrusy litsea cubeba oil and melon and peach notes to capture the fresh vibrancy of an apple.”

How to Use It
Like any cleansing balm, you’re going to massage it onto dry skin. I love the rich, buttery texture of this formula, which is creamier than many of the traditional solid cleansing balms you’ll find in jars. The brand describes the texture as a “soft solid,” and as you massage it onto your skin, it turns into an oil. I personally love the way it feels as I massage it on after a long day—I always aim for a 60-second massage, which also helps relieve facial tension and boost blood flow. Then, you add a little water and massage again, and the triple-phase formula turns into a milky consistency before you rinse it all off. Though you could technically use it morning and night, I only use it at night when I need to remove layers of skin care and/or makeup.
In recent years, Scandinavian style has dominated the US market. The worlds of fashion and interior design frequently feature its core tenets: soothing neutrals, sleek silhouettes, and understated ensembles that still feel chic. While it may seem as though loose trousers, cable-knit sweaters, and long wool coats are now decidedly American wardrobe staples, each of these fashion trends have roots in Nordic countries. Now, it appears that Scandinavian fitness may be poised to have a similar influence.
This October, Nrthrn Strong, a Danish fitness brand, opened its first permanent US location in New York City. The workout class draws on the movements of cross-country skiing, a sport the region is well-known for. However, that’s not the only way Americans are embracing Scandinavian fitness culture. Beyond the doors of this new studio, more people are turning to other key Scandinavian wellness principles, including Nordic walking, visiting modern bathhouses, and running in the cold.
In a way, the shift makes perfect sense given the region’s reputation for being home to some of the world’s healthiest—and happiest—countries. “I would say that some of the best athletes in the world are Nordic skiers,” Alyssa Amos Clark, CPT, a certified personal trainer, coach, and professional athlete, tells SELF. “They have to be strong in the upper body. They have to be strong in the legs, the core, and then they have to cardiovascularly be able to push and climb and descend.” Clark adds that cross-country skiing provides the ideal balance of strength and endurance training, making it an increasingly popular choice for American fitness enthusiasts.
But it’s not the only Nordic sport currently trending in the US. Open up TikTok or Instagram, and you may notice people taking an unexpected accessory with them on their daily hot girl walks: poles. While this concept may feel relatively new stateside, the practice of Nordic walking, which involves trekking while tightly gripping ski-like poles, is a well-known activity in Norway, Finland, Denmark, and Sweden. “It’s really great because it engages your core and your arms,” Karolina Rhenman, CPT, a Swedish certified personal trainer and group fitness instructor who’s currently based in New York City, tells SELF. While she notes that Nordic walking is often more popular among older generations due to its status as a low-impact exercise, she’s recently noticed the practice picking up speed among New Yorkers out and about in Central Park. Another underrated benefit of the exercise? It forces you to take a break from texting or emailing for the duration of the workout. Because, well, when you’re wielding two poles, it’s incredibly challenging to hold your phone, let alone send a message.
THE WHAT? Beauty tech start-up yuv has completed a US$12m (£9m) Series A funding round led by Sweden-based Nineyards Equity, following its record-breaking Dragons’ Den investment earlier this year.
THE DETAILS London-based yuv, developer of what it calls the world’s first smart hair colour lab for salons and freelance stylists, has secured new capital to accelerate its UK growth and prepare for expansion into the US. The round includes participation from founder Francisco Gimenez and existing investors.
The company’s digital dispensing platform — the yuv Lab — connects to an app and delivers precise colour formulations while replacing single-use tubes with refillable aluminium cartridges to cut waste. The system previously impressed Dragons Steven Bartlett and Sara Davies, who jointly invested £500,000 at a £25m valuation — the highest in the programme’s history.
Nineyards Equity said yuv is driving digital transformation in the professional hair colour sector by uniting hardware, software and colour expertise to address operational inefficiencies for salons and freelancers.
THE WHY? Investor interest in salon technology continues to build as the global professional hair services market is forecast to expand from US$204bn to nearly US$342bn by 2032, creating headroom for scalable, sustainability-led colour solutions.
