Mane China announced the official start, on October 31, 2025, of the construction of phase II of its Pinghu factory. This project represents a total investment of 70 million US dollars (around 81 million euros). Covering an area of 14,000 square meters, the expansion project aims to strengthen Mane’s production capacities in China, particularly in the field of perfumes.
« This project demonstrates Mane’s continued commitment to long-term investments in China and the Asia-Pacific region. “, explain Denis Raffaud, Managing Director for Greater China.
Growing demand for perfumes
Faced with sustained growth and the evolving needs of its customers in China, Mane is constantly strengthening its local industrial infrastructures. Phase I of the Pinghu site, inaugurated in June 2023, had already allowed the company to establish its flavor production base in the country.
According to Mane, the growing demand for perfumes makes Phase II a logical continuation of its expansion strategy. This phase will focus on a wide range of perfumery formats and technologies, including liquids, adsorption, spray drying, microencapsulation and macroencapsulation. “ Encapsulation technology, in particular, will be a key element of this new phase, enabling stable and long-lasting fragrance diffusion for various applications ».
Increased production capacity
Completion of Pinghu Phase II is scheduled for third quarter 2027. Mane then plans an increase of 17,000 tonnes in its annual production capacity, which will considerably strengthen the resources available to the group to serve its customers in the Asia-Pacific region.
These new capacities will be added to the creation center for fine fragrance, opened by Mane in China in 2024. They are planned to meet the group’s growth forecasts for the coming decade.
