What Does Healthy Hair Look Like?

Having healthy hair sets the foundation for better hair. Healthy hair is:

  • Shiny
  • Smooth
  • Strong
  • Free of split ends

Hair like this makes us feel confident and beautiful. With the right haircare goals and routine, you may find that living your best hair day every day is easier than you thought.

The Routine for Good Hair Days

The haircare routine for healthier hair is simpler than you think. Check out this routine for your hair that turns heads:

Start with a Bond-Building Treatment

Start your at-home bond rebuilding treatment with Nº.3PLUS Complete Repair Treatment. Nº.3PLUS Complete Repair Treatment immediately revives your hair’s strength, smoothness, softness, shine, and shape. Nº.3PLUS Complete Repair Treatment also makes hair easier to detangle and more resilient to aggressors like:

  • Heat
  • Bleach
  • Color
  • Chemical processing
  • Mechanical stress
  • Environmental stress

To use Nº.3PLUS Complete Repair Treatment:

  1. Apply a generous amount from mid-lengths to ends of damp hair.
  2. Leave on for 3 minutes.
  3. Rinse from hair.
  4. Shampoo and condition hair as usual.

You can use Nº.3PLUS Complete Repair Treatment every 1-3 washes.

Follow with a Shampoo and Conditioner That Boosts Manageability

The right shampoo and conditioner duo can help detangle your hair. Try a shampoo like Nº.4 Bond Maintenance® Shampoo, proven to reduce breakage and nourish hair, leaving it smoother, shinier, and more manageable with every wash. It thoroughly cleanses every hair type without stripping or drying your hair or scalp. Follow with Nº.5 Bond Maintenance® Conditioner to moisturize, hydrate, and detangle hair.

Here’s how to use Nº.4 Bond Maintenance® Shampoo and Nº.5 Bond Maintenance® Conditioner together:

  1. Dispense a coin-sized amount of shampoo and apply it to wet hair.
  2. Lather thoroughly, then rinse well.
  3. Dispense and apply Nº.5 Bond Maintenance® Conditioner to the mid-lengths to ends of hair.
  4. Leave the conditioner on for 1-3 minutes, then rinse well.

Finish with Smoothing Styling Products

Frizz can kill your hair vibes. Style your hair with frizz-reducing products that smoothen hair, like No.6 Bond Smoother® and OLAPLEX Nº.7 Bonding Oil™. Nº.6 Bond Smoother® is a hair styling cream that helps create smoother, softer blow-dries and more defined air-dried styles without weighing hair down. This styling cream also tames frizzy hair for up to 72 hours with its humidity-resistant formula which protects against breakage and heat up to 450°F/232°C. To use Nº.6 Bond Smoother®, just apply one pump to clean, damp hair, then comb through and style as desired.

Want photogenic hair? At the end of your routine, a little touchup with OLAPLEX Nº.7 Bonding Oil™ is just the trick. This bonding oil boosts shine, color vibrancy, controls frizz and flyaways, and protects from heat up to 450°F/232°C. Additionally, OLAPLEX Nº.7 Bonding Oil is lightweight enough to carry around for treating and moisturizing your hair as needed.

To use this bonding oil:

  1. Uncap and turn the bottle upside down.
  2. Gently tap your index finger on the bottom of the bottle to dispense a metered drop.
  3. Apply 2-3 drops to damp or dry hair and style as desired.

You can use this bonding oil daily on wet and dry hair, before styling with heat, or after styling for added shine and smoothness.

  • Rinse, then shampoo and condition to lock in repair and improve manageability.

Summer Fridays’ First-Ever Fragrance Bottles Sunshine

0

Key Takeaways

  • Summer Fridays is releasing their first fine fragrance: Sunlit Vanilla Eau de Parfum.
  • The scent is inspired by their original Lip Butter Balm and the feeling of sun on your skin.

Scent has a strong connection to memory, which can make things confusing depending where/when you spritz a fragrance. It’s still winter, so why do I smell like summer? And is it a random overcast Tuesday or a perfect sun-soaked weekend eve??

Good questions. Let’s ask Summer Fridays.

This month, the brand behind your favorite lip balm is officially launching their first fine fragrance: Sunlit Vanilla Eau de Parfum. Available in two sizes, a travel-friendly 10 mL and a full-size 50 mL bottle, the scent is described as “cozy, yet radiant” and designed to “linger on your skin like sunshine to make it feel like a summer Friday, all year long.”

Keep reading to discover everything there is to know about the sunny new launch.

Summer Fridays

The Inspiration

When creating their first fragrance, vanilla was an obvious focus for co-founders Marianna Hewitt and Lauren Ireland. It’s been with the brand since the beginning.

“Scent and flavor have always been at the heart of Summer Fridays. We’ve loved vanilla since we launched our original Lip Butter Balm in Vanilla in 2020. With many new flavors and shades over the years, it sparked a love for gourmand from our community that’s stayed with us ever since,” they shared in a press release.

Back in 2021, the brand released a limited-edition vanilla rollerball perfume as a holiday exclusive. Ever since, they’ve heard cries of “bring it back” from original fans.

So, here’s the perfume is in its final form: a “cozy, yet radiant” scent “inspired by the endless summer feeling.”

The Scent

Sunlit Vanilla has a top note of bergamot that transitions to a heart of caramel and coconut. At its base, you’ll find vanilla (of course), creamy musk, tonka bean, and amber.

@laurenireland/Instagram

“We’ve long dreamed of creating something that captures the nostalgia of a sweet summer memory. Sunlit Vanilla is that feeling bottled… warmth, comfort, and the ease of Summer Fridays in a fragrance,” the founders added. “We set out to create an elevated, sophisticated vanilla, not just a gourmand you think of wearing in the winter, but something effortlessly wearable all year round.”

Summer Fridays

Here comes the sun. And the good vanilla.

You can shop Sunlit Vanilla Eau de Parfum exclusively on the Sephora app beginning March 16 and at Sephora and summerfridays.com on March 17.

Crying a Lot Is Good for You, Actually—Here’s What the Science Says About People Who Let the Tears Flow

0

I’m a big crier. The tears flow when I’m feeling sad. Or grateful. Or frustrated. Awestruck, PMS-y, joyous, relieved…. You get the idea. I used to try and hide this tendency like it was something to be embarrassed about. But over time, I’ve come to appreciate my wailing ways for what they are: A healthy, beautiful part of my deeply feeling nature. (Pisces sun, Scorpio moon, hello!)

That said, the idea that crying easily is a sign of emotional fragility, weakness, or instability still gets traction. So I wanted to ask the experts on behalf of all us weeping willows: Is it okay to cry, like, kind of a lot?

“Shame and stigma certainly exists around crying,” psychologist Christina Pierpaoli Parker, PhD, assistant professor in the department of psychiatry and behavioral neurobiology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham Marnix E. Heersink School of Medicine, tells SELF. “But for me, that’s just an indictment of our culture’s incredibly poor understanding of emotions.” In other words: It’s a them problem, not a you problem.

So let’s talk about what crying actually does for you—and why shedding a tear (or two) more often than others is not only not a problem, but potentially a wonderful thing.

Why we cry, and why it’s good for us

Crying’s main function is to help us process and express strong emotions, clinical psychologist Lauren Bylsma, PhD, an associate professor of psychiatry and psychology at the University of Pittsburgh who has studied the neurobiology of crying, tells SELF.

This emotional crying is exclusive to our species. “We don’t see this kind of behavior in other living beings,” Grace Tworek, PsyD, a clinical health psychologist at Cleveland Clinic, says. “So expressing our emotions this way is really a part of what makes humans unique.” You might even say that being someone who cries often means you’re thoroughly enjoying your humanity—even if it means openly exploring emotions we consider “negative,” like sadness.

Many of us instinctively know there’s something cathartic about a good cry—and experts agree there are psychological benefits. “Crying, especially when alone, can serve as a sort of self-therapy,” Dr. Parker says. “It really forces you to think about whatever you’re crying about and to process it, and that can make you feel better.”

A healthy sob also helps your body regulate. When strong feelings (positive or negative) flood the body, it creates stress, Dr. Parker explains—and crying is like a pressure relief valve. “Tears relieve the psychological pressure that is accumulated within our sympathetic nervous system,” she says. Research shows that right before you start crying, the nervous system’s fight-or-flight response peaks, explains Dr. Bylsma. Once the tears start flowing, your nervous system’s relaxation response can start to kick in.

Kolmar Korea wins long-running legal battle against Intercos over sun care tech leakage

Kolmar Korea has won a long-running legal dispute against Intercos Korea over the leakage of proprietary sun care technologies by former employees.

The dispute originated when a former Kolmar Korea employee, who had worked at the company for about 10 years, transferred to Intercos Korea in 2018 and removed multiple core research and development materials, including proprietary sunscreen formulation data and new product development information.

Investigations later revealed that another former employee, who also joined Intercos Korea around the same time, participated in the leakage of “trade secrets.”

CLEAR partners with Red Bull Racing to advance product innovation, elevate brand experiences

The brand, best known for its anti-dandruff shampoo and scalp care products, is the latest to join the emerging trend of cross-industry collaborations between beauty and personal care companies and Formula One (F1) racing teams.

This move marks a new chapter for CLEAR as it looks to reinforce its leading expertise in scalp care while innovating and delivering high-performance solutions aimed at helping people stay confident and focused in stressful situations.

“This partnership reflects our shared belief in precision and performance, and together we aim to inspire people who demand maximum results in every aspect of their lives, while creating experiences that help them show up at their best,” said Mohamed Elsharkawy, global brand vice president of CLEAR.

Taiwanese orchid extract shows promise for skin protection, brightening

Researchers in Taiwan have discovered that exosome-like vesicles derived from the Phalaenopsis aphrodite orchid, commonly known as “Taiwanese Grandma,” could offer a new natural solution for skin protection and brightening.

It marks the first time scientists have successfully isolated the tiny biological packages from this specific orchid species to test their potential in high-end skin care formulations.

The study was conducted by researchers at Pegavision Corp, FacialBeau International Corp, Industrial Technology Research Institute, and National Chung-Hsing University.

Solabia buys Mibelle Biochemistry to scale bio‑based innovation

French biotech active ingredients company Solabia Group, which specializes in the health and beauty sector, is set to buy the Swiss cosmetics ingredients company Mibelle Biochemistry from current owner Persán, which had purchased the business in April 2025.

Solabia said the acquisition will strengthen its leadership in natural active ingredients and that the two businesses offer complementary technologies and product strengths, particularly in natural and bio‑based actives.

Puig hits €5bn revenue but forecasts fragrance slowdown in 2026

Marc Puig, chairman and CEO of Puig, said the business had outperformed the general market. He also noted that Puig had completed its previous five‑year strategic plan, communicated in early 2021, which set its ambition to double its 2020 revenue in three years and triple it in five. “We exceeded those goals, more than doubling our revenue by 2022 and more than tripling it by 2025,” he said.

However, Puig issued a word of caution for the fast‑growing fragrance category, stating that he expects growth in the fragrance market to “continue to normalize” and therefore not maintain its recent upward trajectory.

Why some colour cosmetics brands are failing: shifting trends and rising costs

The start of this year came with the sad news that innovative color cosmetics brand Pat McGrath Labs has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. Meanwhile, heritage UK-based color cosmetics brand Barry M had to seek out a buyer or face going into administration due to heightened manufacturing costs.

While there are more opportunities than ever to create new cosmetics brands, there is also more competition and a volatile economy to compete with, along with a host of other changes in this category landscape.

VIVA GLAM: M·A·C aims for next $500m in global philanthropy

M·A·C’s VIVA GLAM program has now raised more than $540 million globally since its launch in 1994, according to the brand’s 2025 Impact Report. The update offers beauty industry stakeholders an analysis of how a single product platform has sustained three decades of funding while adapting to shifting social and environmental priorities.

“Together, we’ve built an incredible legacy: $540 million USD raised and over 60 million lives impacted around the world,” M·A·C wrote in the report. “This last year alone, M·A·C VIVA GLAM donated $4.5 million USD to 64 nonprofit partners globally, sharpening our focus on organizations that advance sexual, racial, gender and environmental equality.”

‘100% Mineral’ sunscreen class action spotlights risk around absolute ingredient claims

Filed in California state court in December 2025, the complaint alleges that a range of Supergoop! sunscreen and SPF products marketed as “100% Mineral” or “Mineral” create a misleading impression that the entire formula is mineral-based, when the products allegedly contain non-mineral or synthetically processed ingredients.

While the case centers on sunscreen, the underlying issues may extend well beyond sun care, according to Laura Bentele, a partner and leader of Armstrong Teasdale’s Agribusiness and Food team.

“This lawsuit is structured as a consumer protection class action alleging that Supergoop! marketed a range of products as ‘100% mineral’ or ‘mineral’ in a way that created an overall impression that the products were entirely mineral or natural, even though (plaintiff alleges) the product formulas include non-mineral and/or synthetic/chemically processed ingredients,” she said.

Henkel’s challenge sees mixed NAD decision for Revlon’s ColorSilk

Following a competitor challenge brought by Henkel Corporation, the National Advertising Division (NAD) of BBB National Programs provided mixed recommendations regarding Revlon’s marketing and advertising behind its ColorSilk hair color with Bond Repair Complex across the brand’s packaging, digital channels and third-party retail platforms.

While several claims were found to be supported, others were flagged for modification or discontinuation, underscoring how narrowly advertising language must track underlying evidence.

What High Fashion Teaches Us About Using Colour To Express Ourselves — Inside Out Style

0

twitterpinterestlinkedinmail

Fashion is never just about fabric. At the highest levels of design, it’s a form of storytelling – often told through colour psychology in runway fashion.

From Valentino’s saturated signature reds to the neon statements at Versace, designers use colour to shape emotion, perception, and meaning. The runway becomes a visual language. And colour is the grammar of style.

Let’s break down how today’s fashion leaders are applying colour psychology in runway fashion to communicate identity, drama, disruption, and more so that you can apply some of these principles to your own outfits.

The Runway as a Colour Lab

High fashion is like a science lab for colour – every shade selected with purpose. Let’s look at a few iconic examples and the psychological impact behind them:

Red for Power & Passion

Wear red for power

Red has been unmissable in many runway seasons. Designers used vibrant reds – chili‑pepper, fiery scarlet, and “tomato‑red” – to convey confidence, intensity, and visibility. It’s a colour that draws attention and communicates strength. Europeans and U.S. runways alike featured red pieces not just as evening wear, but in daywear statements and accessories.

Designers use red in runway fashion to:

  • Project confidence and sexual energy
  • Grab visual focus immediately
  • Signal status or danger

No other colour shouts quite like red.

White for Purity & Disruption

White for purity

Yes, Pantone’s Cloud Dancer is the colour of 2026, and it may sometimes be considered a little bland. While not always as headline‑grabbing, white continues to play a role in runway collections as a tool of contrast and disruption. Designers are using all‑white looks to challenge expectations, highlight shapes and shadows, and create minimalist statements that feel fresh, clean, and almost graphic. The trend aligns with the broader movement toward “quiet luxury” and pared‑back palettes, with richer-tone moments.

White becomes a tool for:

  • Creating a visual pause or reset
  • Highlighting structure and texture
  • Conveying purity or futuristic minimalism

White (unlike black) is great for showing up interesting detail in fabric and construction as every seam and detail is visible.

In the context of colour psychology in runway fashion, white often acts as a clean slate—or a deliberate erasure of noise.

Black and Darks for Authority & Mystery

Black is not a colour I’d recommend most people wear, in fact, unless the colours that suit you are dark, bright and cool, I’d stay away from it completely as it will drain the life out of you unless you want to wear a full face of makeup (and plenty of blush).  That said, in the world of fashion, black remains a fashion staple colour, constantly reinterpreted.

Why not take some of these examples, then translate those dark aspects to your best dark colours, bitter chocolate, navy blue or deep olive green.

Recent shows have revived strong tailoring, dramatic silhouettes, and textures (leather, sheer overlays, matte and gloss contrasts), using black as both a base and the statement itself. Its authority is in how much designers are using black not as default, but as a deliberate choice: power dressing, mystery, drama.

Why dark colours work:

  • It conveys power and restraint
  • It absorbs light, creating shadows and intrigue
  • It adds timeless elegance to even experimental silhouettes

Dark neutrals with a depth of meaning.

Pastels for Nostalgia & Femininity

Pastels for femininity

Pastel tones have made a strong return. Light blues, dusty pinks, soft yellows and creams were everywhere this summer – balancing the more intense reds and neons. These softer shades are being used to evoke nostalgia, femininity, romanticism, and calm. They temper the intensity of louder colours while providing contrast in mixed-colour palettes.

Pastels offer:

  • A romantic escape
  • A youthful, calming energy
  • A counterbalance to bold, angular design

They’re not just pretty—they’re psychologically comforting

Neons for Rebellion & Attention

Neon has come back with force. Designers are using electric hues – hot pink, lime green, vibrant orange – not just in streetwear but in haute couture, accessories, and outerwear. Neons are used to disrupt, to be visible, and to celebrate audacity and energy.

Neon works by:

  • Demanding immediate visibility
  • Linking to club culture, futurism, and athleticism
  • Breaking up neutrals with statement energy

They’re polarising on purpose—and that’s the point.

What This Means for Your Personal Style

Now, unless you’re attending the Met Gala ball, you’re probably not wearing sculptural gowns down the street. But that doesn’t mean these colour lessons don’t apply to you. In fact, understanding how colour psychology works in fashion gives you a powerful tool to express yourself with greater clarity and intention.

Ask yourself:

  • What do I want to feel when I wear this outfit?
  • What do I want others to feel or perceive when they see me?
  • What colours tell the story I want to tell today?

Bringing Couture Colour into Your Closet

You don’t need to dress like a runway model to benefit from chromatic cues. Here’s how to apply this in real life:

Use Colour to Set the Tone

Start your outfit by asking: “What do I want to feel today?” Calm? Assertive? Creative? Your colours can guide your energy and influence how others perceive you.

Use Colour Placement Strategically

Want to draw attention upward? Wear a bold colour near your face. It can be in an accessory, earrings or a necklace; it doesn’t have to be a garment. Want to ground your outfit? Anchor it with deeper tones on the bottom.

Know Your Best Colours

Not every trend needs to enter your closet. Discover your ideal palette with tools like personal colour analysis. I guide you through this in my 7 Steps to Style program so you can wear colour with confidence.

Want to Dive Deeper into the Psychology of Colour?

Understanding the emotional language of colour is part of the transformation I guide you through in my 7 Steps to Style program. You’ll learn not only what colours flatter your unique colouring, but also how to use colour as a tool for communication, confidence, and creative self-expression.

Ready to master the art and science of personal colour? Explore 7 Steps to Style here.

Runway designers aren’t just creating clothes – they’re curating emotion. They know that colour is powerful, primal, and persuasive. Once you learn how to harness colour psychology in fashion, your closet becomes more than storage. It becomes a palette for your personality, your mood, and your message.

Style isn’t just what you wear. It’s how you speak in colour.

How To Style Oversized Graphic Tees In The Coolest Possible Way

‘Fashion Victim’ Black T-Shirt

Statement trousers

Again, you might be tempted to pair the tee with some skinny jeans – and that would go perfectly. But if you want something a bit more fun or unexpected, opt for statement trousers. A loud print, such as an animal print like leopard, will do the trick.

Shorts and boots

This one’s probably one for the warmer months, but a big tee will look great with some denim shorts. It’s very indie sleaze band groupie, which has been having a moment recently. Some sheer or fishnet tights will complete the look, and boots will add some excitement to the silhouette.

Wide jeans

As mentioned above, statement trousers are an unexpectedly great partner for an oversized tee. So why not opt for some wide-leg jeans? You might have some in your wardrobe already, since they’ve been on-trend for a couple years now. But if not, we’ve got you covered.

Legs out!

Finally, this inspo doesn’t actually come from recent fashion weeks. It comes all the way from the 2010s. If your tee is oversized enough, it might as well just double as a dress. Hailey Bieber (then Baldwin!) opted for some black fishnets in 2017, while model Mailaka Firth went for bare legs and ankle boots in 2014. Considering our current obsession with dumb tech at the moment, the wired headphones feel very… now.

Inside the Reishi Revival – NewBeauty

0

Once reserved for wellness rituals and traditional medicine, mushrooms—especially reishi—have steadily become one of the beauty world’s most intriguing skin-care ingredients. With their ability to hydrate, soothe, protect and visibly repair the skin, these fungi-forward actives are moving from niche to necessity.

The Skin Collection

Mushrooms bring a rare combination of benefits to topical formulas, making them uniquely effective in skin care. Few brands understand this intersection of nature and science better than Seed to Skin Tuscany, founded by herbalist Jeanette Thottrup. “Mushrooms are used in cosmetics for their multifaceted properties, including deep hydration, potent antioxidant activity and the ability to enhance skin elasticity and regeneration,” explains Thottrup, who relies on them for some of her products. “Varieties such as reishi, chaga and tremella are incorporated into serums, creams and masks to combat signs of aging, soothe inflammation and shield the skin from oxidative stress.”

That stress-skin connection is central to Éminence Organic’s philosophy, and a big reason the brand expanded its Pure Forest Collection last year. “Signs of stress can be revealed through our skin,” says Natalie Pergar, lead skin-care trainer. “When stress levels go up, skin can lose its luster, which can lead to redness, irritation, breakouts, dryness and decreased radiance.”

According to Pergar, adaptogens—especially mushrooms—can help counteract those effects. “Adaptogenic ingredients are at the heart of this collection,” she says. “Mushrooms are adaptogenic powerhouses that offer incredible skin benefits. In particular, reishi mushroom is a superstar when it comes to protecting the skin’s moisture barrier. It contains a high concentration of polysaccharides that improve hydration and are a powerful source of antioxidants to help reduce puffiness.”

More than just an ingredient, reishi also anchors a ritualistic approach to skin care. “These products purify and restore stressed skin, while nurturing a deeper mind-body connection,” Pergar says. “The result is a modern expression of luxury, where calm, repair and performance meet in one quietly powerful ingredient.”

Reishi, Revived

At Seed to Skin Tuscany, mushrooms are treated not as trendy ingredients, but as high-performance actives backed by science. “Our Restorative Collection, launching in March 2026, delivers measurable skin-repair benefits,” Thottrup says. “Reishi mushroom ferment is a postbiotic powerhouse that accelerates skin barrier recovery by 26 percent and wound healing by 45 percent, making it particularly beneficial for fragile or compromised skin. And, because it is also rich in triterpenoids and beta- glucans, it impressively promotes the renewal of keratinocytes, which are the main cells of the epidermis.”

Clinical testing supports these claims, showing “a 40.8-percent increase in wound area recovery and a 62-percent reduction in wound depth, leaving skin visibly smoother and more refined.” Beyond repair, Thottrup says Reishi also calms stressed skin. “It inhibits pro-inflammatory pathways, reducing skin stress responses and supporting a healthier, more balanced skin function, which is why we especially like it for sensitive or inflamed skin.”

Thottrup sees mushroom-based beauty as part of a much larger shift toward bioactive, research-driven botanicals. “This topic has been gaining attention for some time, and I believe its rise reflects a broader, growing phenomenon,” she says.

Supermodel and YSE Beauty founder Molly Sims was so impressed by the category’s scientific research, that she decided to include white shiitake extract in her Wide Awake Eye Cream. “I’m incredibly specific about the effectiveness of our products,” Sims says. “That’s why clinicals are so important. A product has to work, and I make sure we have the science to prove it. These ingredients prove it.”

The Workout That’s More Efficient Than Walking or Running

0

The best form of exercise is the one you’ll stick with, but have you ever wondered about how efficient your workout is? As a cycling instructor and running coach, I often hear that cycling “feels easier” than running. They’re two cardio-dominant workouts, yet one is perceived as smoother and controlled while the other is consistently strenuous.

At its core, cycling is more energy-efficient because it cuts down on wasted energy. When you run, every step is an impact on the pavement (or treadmill). You swing your arms for momentum, brake slightly with each foot strike, then have to re-accelerate forward again—over and over. That constant stop-and-go motion costs us energy.

How cycling saves you energy

On the bike, whether you’re pedaling indoors or outdoors, that inefficiency disappears. The circular pedaling motion keeps your output steady and consistent, so you’re not constantly losing and regaining momentum. Your upper body is mostly still while your legs do all the work. Your output could be the same as going for a run, but you’ve completed a workout that’s saved you energy. Anthony Blazevich, PhD, a biomechanics expert, says cycling is at least four times more energy-efficient than running, mostly because it’s lower impact.

“This efficiency comes from minimising three major energy drains: limb movement, ground impact and muscle speed limitations,” Blazevich says in The Independent.

But don’t confuse efficiency with ease. More efficient doesn’t mean an exercise is less effective.

In the spin classes I teach, I often see riders underestimate how hard they’re actually working because the effort feels controlled. It isn’t until class is over and their exercise high subsides that they realize how much work they did. Meanwhile, with runners, the immediate impact and intensity can make effort feel harder than it truly is. Different sensations, but not necessarily different outcomes.

There’s no right or wrong answer, but cycling’s efficiency is exactly what makes it an ideal workout to keep in your routine. It allows you to sustain effort longer, build aerobic capacity with less joint stress, and accumulate serious training volume without breaking down.

So yes, cycling might feel easier than running, but if you dial up resistance, play with cadence, and actually push your effort, it can be just as challenging—and just as rewarding.
