You Can Now Literally Bathe in Tower 28’s SOS Spray

0

Key Takeaways

  • Tower 28’s newest innovation, SOS Rescue + Relief Body Wash, is launching December 29.
  • The body wash was inspired by founder and CEO Amy Liu’s own experiences with adult eczema.
  • The new product comes with Triple Seal Approval from the National Eczema Association, National Rosacea Society, and National Psoriasis Foundation.

This very morning, my sister looked me right in the eye and asked me why I’ve been talking about eczema so much. What can I tell you, girl? It’s winter, which means it’s dry out, which means everyone’s skin is close to crisis—especially those with dry skin-triggered inflammatory skin conditions

I’d say it was time to throw up the SOS signal, but it’s already been flashing. And, per usual, Tower 28 is here to save our skin.

On Monday, December 29, Tower 28 is launching SOS Rescue + Relief Body Wash, a derm-approved, hypoallergenic, pH-balanced treatment that they describe as “a medicated bath in a bottle.” Keep reading to discover everything there is to know about the much-needed product, including insight from the brand’s founder and CEO, Amy Liu.

The Inspiration

Did you know dermatologists sometimes recommend bleach baths for adult eczema? Liu does, and feels as intimidated by the prospect as everyone else who’s received the suggestion. Yes, they’re effective—but you’re paying for results with a major lack of comfort.

“I’ll be honest, I never actually did them because they felt so intimidating. The idea of pouring bleach into a tub and hoping it wouldn’t make things worse just didn’t sit right with me,” she tells Byrdie.

This personal experience led the founder to design something better: a product that could offer those same clinically proven results in a super gentle and easy-to-use format.

“I kept thinking there had to be an easier and less scary way. That’s what inspired SOS Rescue + Relief Body Wash. I wanted to take an ingredient that is clinically proven to support sensitive, easily irritated skin, like sodium hypochlorite, and turn it into a simple and comforting shower routine rather than something that feels clinical or overwhelming,” the founder explains. “You only leave it on for two or three minutes while you’re washing your hair or shaving, and you get the benefit of real cleansing too since we added surfactants. It’s so much more convenient than soaking in a tub for ten minutes.”

Tower 28

The Formula

Arriving with a Triple Seal Approval from the National Eczema Association, National Rosacea Society, and National Psoriasis Foundation, the product was formulated to soothe and strengthen while cleansing like a normal body wash. There’s no sitting in bleach required, but one of bleach’s main ingredients does make an appearance. It’s not scary, promise.

Instead, the formula is equipped with sodium hypochlorite, a longtime medical professional-trusted ingredient that helps kill bacteria and prevent its spread while calming skin prone to eczema, rosacea, and psoriasis.

Liu is proud of her company’s use of the ingredient, especially how they made it feel “approachable and comforting” instead of “clinical or scary.”

Tower 28

“It’s a component of bleach and closely related to hypochlorous acid, but when it’s properly diluted and paired with soothing ingredients, it becomes this incredibly gentle way to cleanse the skin without drying or stripping,” she explains. “Dermatologists have recommended it for years to help remove bacteria, daily buildup, and impurities.”

“To take something so trusted and package it in a way that feels simple, safe, and actually enjoyable to use is really meaningful to me,” she adds. “And the fact that the formula earned seals from the National Eczema Association, the National Rosacea Society, and the National Psoriasis Foundation makes me feel like we did right by our sensitive-skin community.”

You’ll also find a couple of impressive plant extracts. Apple fruit extract helps skin retain moisture and protects against free radicals while cactus flower extract improves texture and deeply hydrates. When the brand first started formulating the product, Liu’s number one rule was that it had to be something she’d feel comfortable using during her worst flare-ups, when her skin was cracked, burning, and extra-reactive.

“That meant keeping it extremely gentle, pH-balanced, hypoallergenic, gynecologist-tested (so it’s safe to use on intimate areas) and free of anything that could set sensitive skin off,” notes the expert. “At the same time, it needed to be truly effective, not just ‘clean.'”

How to Use It

I probably don’t know how to teach you to apply body wash, but there is one key difference with this product. After applying it all over the body and massaging to lather, you’ll leave it on for two to three minutes before rinsing. It can be used daily, and 97% of clinical testers (including those with acne-prone skin!) found they experienced less skin flakiness, no burning or stinging while using, and more hydrated skin when they added it to their routine.

“I want people to step out of the shower feeling relieved—like their skin has finally met something that gets it,” explains Liu. “My hope is that using this wash feels empowering, not clinical or scary. If someone with sensitive skin can feel calmer, more comfortable, and a little more in control after using it, then we did our job.”

Gourmand hair colors are the latest trend of the year and rightly so!

What Are Gourmand Hair Colors?

Gourmand hair colors are the rich color palettes inspired by the allure of gourmet desserts and beverages like chocolate, coffee, honey, caramel, vanilla, toffee, to name a few. These food-inspired shades often have a warm, glossy and multi-dimensional appearance to it.

Gourmand hair colors are inspired due to its resemblance to the richness, warmth and shine the add to the hair and are most typically done by following balayage, highlights or glossing techniques to create a natural yet edgy look. The reason for their huge and quick popularity is how well they suit most skin types, hair types and face shapes. They can be tailored to everyone’s unique needs.

Which Gourmand Hair Color Is Best For You?

You can discuss this better with your hairstylist but here are some pointers that might make it easier for you to pick the right shade:

Depending On your Skin Tone:

For people with warm skin tones shades like caramel, honey, and toffee highlight the golden undertones beautifully whereas people with cool skin tones prefer chocolate or mocha shades with subtle ashy undertones to complement their complexions. And for people with neutral skin tones most gourmand shades suit well.

Depending On Face Shapes

  • Round Face: Opting for darker gourmand shades at the roots with subtle blended lighter shades or a natural balayage helps create the illusion of length.
  • Square Face: Warm and soft shades are better options as they help soften the angular features.
  • Oval & Heart-Shaped Face: Subtle highlights or ombres using the shades of your choice compliment better.

New Year Resolutions: 13 Tips to Set Goals You Can Actually Achieve

0

The new year always seems to invite Big Main Character Energy. You know the drill: This is it. I’m finally going to drink more water, save more money, sleep like a well-adjusted adult and maybe, just maybe, even learn a new language (here’s looking at you, Duolingo!).

But if you’re not careful, “New Year, New Me” energy can backfire if it pushes you into perfectionism or all-or-nothing thinking. Setting goals can absolutely be grounding and motivating (especially during these rather unsettling/uncertain times), but for many people, resolutions can quickly turn into a source of pressure rather than joy.

The good news? Switching up your habits isn’t about suddenly becoming a brand-new version of yourself on January 1. It’s about setting goals that actually match your lifestyle, not some Instaworthy version of it.

Often, what we don’t realize is that the problem isn’t that we aren’t capable of sticking to our resolutions. The problem is that we need to do a better job making new year goals that are actionable and achievable. Otherwise, it’s almost like setting yourself up to fall short.

“Change is hard. We are creatures of habit,” June Kloubec, PhD, an associate professor of kinesiology at Seattle University, tells SELF. “Unless you are very motivated, have good social support, and have the right environment, it is difficult to make lasting behavior changes.”

Experts agree: Successful resolutions aren’t solely about willpower—they’re about strategy, self-compassion and realistic planning. Below, find evidence-based, expert-backed tips to help you create goals you can actually sustain in the year ahead.

How to set achievable new year goals

You’ve likely heard of SMART goals (specific, measurable, attainable, relevant, and timely). It’s a framework that’s commonly used in workplaces and by fitness and mental health pros alike to help clients set doable goals. SMART goals work because they’re concrete, not vague.

For example: “I’ll move my body for 30 minutes twice a week” vs. “I’ll start working out more.”

The first one lays out a goal that’s specific, measurable, attainable, relevant, and timely. The second one is vague and provides no clear direction for how you’re going to do it. Of course, you’ll also want to think about details, like when this workout will fit best into your schedule, what activity you will actually look forward to doing, and more. But thinking within the SMART framework first is a great way to get started formulating your goals. Start with that structure and then build upon it with the following tips.

13 additional tips for making New Year’s resolutions stick

If you want to set yourself up for the best chance of success, start with these helpful tips for making better resolutions you can actually stick to. They all keep the tenets of SMART goal-setting in mind but take them one step further to give you even more detailed and specific advice.

1. Start small. No, even smaller.

Oversized goals such as “save money,” “get fit,” “read 50 books,” all feel inspiring in the moment…and quickly become overwhelming a week later. The first key to success is zeroing in on one goal, not three. Then do a quick reality check.

Key takeaways of Coty’s Wella sale

  • Coty has sold its final 25.8% stake in Wella to KKR for $750 million.
  • The deal includes 45% of future sale or IPO proceeds after KKR’s return.
  • Proceeds will primarily be used to reduce Coty’s short- and long-term debt.
  • Coty expects net leverage to fall to ~3x by end of CY25.

Beauty multinational Coty Inc has sold its remaining 25.8% stake in Wella to KKR-managed capital accounts and investment affiliates.

The company said it will receive upfront cash consideration of $750 million and 45% of any proceeds from a further sale or an initial public offering of the business, after KKR’s preferred return has been met. Based on Wella’s strong recent and expected performance, as well as current market valuations, Coty sees strong potential for additional cash proceeds, bringing the total gross proceeds closer to the carrying value of its investment in Wella.

The sale completes the programme initiated in 2020 to simplify Coty’s portfolio and operations, while realising the full value of its Wella business.

Strategic shift: simplifying Coty’s brand portfolio

Coty said it intends to use the majority of Wella upfront cash proceeds related to this transaction, net of tax, to pay down its short-term and long-term debt. Both the Wella proceeds and Coty’s strong free cash flow generation (over $350 million in the first half of FY26, in line with its recent guidance) are expected to reduce Coty’s financial net leverage to approximately 3x by the end of CY25.

Coty acquired Wella from Procter & Gamble in 2015 as part of a $12.5bn deal for a large portion of P&G’s beauty business.

Earlier this year, the group undertook a strategic review and considered selling its mass-market make-up brands to sharpen its focus on perfumes.

Last week, the Financial Times reported that the group’s controlling shareholder, JAB Holding, was planning a leadership overhaul that could result in the exit of both Coty’s board chair and CEO.

From Hair To Makeup And Everything In Between

Your wedding day is like a story—your story. Like any good narrative, it should reflect your unique spirit, taste, and love. From the way your hair falls to the dress you float down the aisle in, every detail works together to create a look that’s unmistakably, unapologetically you.

Whether you’re planning a barefoot ceremony under the stars or a candlelit affair in a grand ballroom, finding your bridal aesthetic is about discovering a world that feels right. So, what’s your vibe? Boho and barefoot? Sleek and modern? Timeless and romantic?

Here’s how to match your hair, dress, makeup, and wedding design to five iconic wedding aesthetics—with a little help from The Halo.

The Boho Bride

If you’re a free spirit at heart and are all for beach elopements, barefoot vows, and sunset ceremonies, then boho is your bridal calling.

Hair: Loose, touchable, effortlessly undone. For boho brides, hair is less about structure and more about movement. Think relaxed waves, braided crowns, and tousled half-up styles. Halo extensions can add that lived-in volume and texture that takes your boho look from breezy to breathtaking.

Dress: Look for flowy silhouettes in light-as-air fabrics like chiffon or tulle. Lace detailing, earthy embroidery, and off-the-shoulder cuts are signature staples. You want something that dances when you walk and looks like it belongs in a field of wildflowers.

Makeup: Fresh, dewy, and kissed by nature. Think bronzed cheeks, soft shimmer on the lids, and barely-there lips in rose or peach tones. The goal? To look like you’ve been kissed by golden hour.

Design: Your décor leans organic and eclectic. Macramé backdrops, wildflower bouquets, pampas grass, and vintage rugs lining the aisle. You’re not afraid to mix textures and play with raw elements because imperfection is part of the beauty.

The Classic Bride

There’s something about timeless elegance that never goes out of style. If you find yourself swooning over Grace Kelly and Audrey Hepburn, you’re a classic bride through and through.

Hair: Polished updos, soft chignons, or side-parted waves, these styles feel elevated without trying too hard. A Halo adds volume and structure to create that smooth, full finish that reads refined and regal.

Dress: Traditional silhouettes like ballgowns, A-lines, or mermaid cuts in satin, silk, or lace define the classic aesthetic. You gravitate toward timeless necklines—sweetheart, bateau, or off-the-shoulder—with understated glamour.

Makeup: Sophisticated and defined. Think a flawless base, subtle contour, softly lined eyes, and a bold but classic lip, like the perfect shade of red or nude. Your beauty look should feel like it could live in any decade.

Design: Picture long tables draped in crisp white linens, crystal glassware, lush florals in symmetrical arrangements, and soft candlelight. It’s elegant, romantic, and never overdone.

The Modern Bride

You love a sharp silhouette, a strong statement, and the kind of look that turns heads. If your Pinterest board is full of architectural gowns and minimal color palettes, you might be a modern bride.

Hair: Chic and intentional. Think sleek low buns, super straight strands, or textural ponytails. The modern bride’s hair is never fussy, just striking. Add a Halo to give your style boldness, density, or that exaggerated length that takes it from “cool” to “catwalk.”

Dress: You’re drawn to clean lines, innovative fabrics, and silhouettes with an edge—a sculptural neckline or an asymmetrical hem. You like drama, but make it modern.

Makeup: Unexpected and editorial. Graphic eyeliner, glossy lids, or a statement lip in plum or coral. There’s room to play here because makeup is part of the look, not just the finishing touch.

Design: Minimalist doesn’t mean boring. You love structured shapes, geometric elements, and a tight palette (think black, white, and metallics or monochrome in your favorite shade). The vibe? Gallery opening meets city rooftop wedding.

The Romantic Bride

Soft. Dreamy. A little bit fairytale. If your heart beats faster at the sight of delicate florals, pastel palettes, and candlelit moments, your wedding style is all about romance.

Hair: Ethereal waves, braided accents, and half-up styles with floral pins or pearl details. A halo is your secret weapon for fullness and length that feels storybook-beautiful without being over-the-top.

Dress: Light-as-air fabrics like tulle, chiffon, or organza layered with lace and floral appliqués. You gravitate toward flowing skirts, sweetheart necklines, and delicate details that move with you.

Makeup: Glowing skin, rosy cheeks, soft shimmer on the lids, and a petal-pink lip. You want to look like you stepped out of a dream—and that dream involved really good skincare.

Design: Pastel color palettes, twinkling fairy lights, floral arches, and a sea of taper candles. The energy is soft, intimate, and tender. It’s the kind of wedding where everyone cries happy tears.

The Rustic Bride

You love authenticity. Your ideal wedding is somewhere between a cozy barn and a mountaintop—maybe with a long farm table, some acoustic music, and a glass of wine in hand.

Hair: Unstructured but intentional. Loose braids, messy buns, and textured ponytails. A halo adds the extra thickness you need to nail that undone-but-put-together look.

Dress: Casual elegance is the name of the game with lace sleeves, flowy skirts, and maybe even boots under your gown. Your dress doesn’t need glitz. It just needs to move with the breeze and feel like you.

Makeup: Natural, glowy, with a hint of warmth. Bronzed tones, fluffy brows, and lips that look kissed, not painted. It’s about enhancing your features, not transforming them.

Design: Reclaimed wood, mismatched chairs, dried florals, and string lights overhead. Your aesthetic is rustic chic: homegrown, heartfelt, and just a little bit magical.

Blueberry Extract Benefits for Skin

0

Blueberries might be small, but they pack a powerful punch. Like other botanicals, they’re filled with some of Earth’s strongest antioxidants, giving them a unique (and often overlooked) benefit: skincare.

Here at Juice Beauty, we’re all about juice — blueberries included. These unassuming fruits contain high-quality natural compounds that make them skincare’s best-kept secret ingredient. But not anymore.

Today, we’re going to let you in on the secret and break down what exactly blueberries can do for your skin.

What Is Blueberry Extract for Skin?

The blueberry fruit is a dark blue, almost purple berry grown in North America. Like other fruits (including blackberries, cranberries, and green apples), blueberries are packed full of antioxidants, making them a powerful superfood. Wild blueberries, especially lowbush wild blueberries, are one of the strongest bioactive ingredients out there.

Though you might think of blueberries as a sweet treat, don’t overlook the topical benefits of this fruit. Blueberry extract separates the organic compounds from the fruit’s flesh, which can then be infused into various natural skincare products. Different from the sugary fruit extract in candies or jellies, blueberry extract is all about bioactives.

What Are Antioxidants?

If you read the ingredient label on your skincare products, you know antioxidants are one of the leading ingredients in many different serums, creams, and lotions.

So, why do so many products prioritize these compounds?

Antioxidants are a type of chemical compound inside your body that supports your health at the cellular level. Why? Because they help support your cells during exposure to free radicals.

Free radicals are unstable oxygen atoms that can break apart cell membranes and disrupt their function. However, antioxidants can support your wellness during exposure to these damaging atoms, maintaining equilibrium and protecting your cells.

You need antioxidants everywhere in your body, but they’re especially vital to your skin. Free radical buildup in the top layers of your skin can lead to irritation, dull skin, and even premature aging. Without enough antioxidants, you leave your skin vulnerable to a world of both cosmetic and health concerns.

What Antioxidants Are in Blueberries?

Many foods contain antioxidants, but not every source is the same. Different ingredients have different antioxidant capacities.

This term of measurement describes the amount of free radicals an antioxidant can subdue — and the antioxidant capacity of blueberries is very high. While a cup of artichokes (a vegetable known for its antioxidant properties) contains close to 8,000 total antioxidants, a cup of wild blueberries has over 13,000.

The high antioxidant capacity of blueberries is due to the various sources of antioxidants within the fruit.

Some of these sources include:

  • Vitamins C and K
  • Phytochemicals and flavonoids, specifically anthocyanins
  • Resveratrol (though in a smaller amount)

3 Blueberry Extract Benefits for Skin

Though blueberries are only in season from April to September, when it comes to your complexion, the blueberry benefits for skin are year-round. Their antioxidant properties produce three big benefits for your skin.

1. Boosts Hydration

The first benefit of blueberries for your skin is their power as moisturizers. Wild blueberries themselves are nearly 85% water — but this isn’t what makes them so hydrating for your skin. Scientifically speaking, it all comes down to antioxidants.

Remember how antioxidants fight off the free radicals that would otherwise damage your skin cells? Well, it’s not only skin cells those free radicals are after. They can also damage your skin’s lipid barrier.

Your lipid barrier — also known as your skin’s moisture barrier — regulates what goes in and what comes out of the skin. This includes water.

If free radicals compromise your lipid barrier, it can contribute to water loss, leaving your skin dry. By keeping your moisture barrier strong and free of damage, antioxidants work to boost hydration in the skin.

2. Brightens Skin

The second main benefit of blueberries has to do with the surface of your skin. That’s right, we’re talking about the brightening effect of blueberry on your complexion.

Blueberries contain a type of antioxidant called ellagic acid, which is known for its soothing properties. This powerful polyphenol targets redness in the skin by supporting cell health during exposure to free radicals, but it takes it a step further to target the appearance of dark spots, too.

Ellagic acid may help combat the look of pigmentation issues by interacting with tyrosinase, the enzyme that regulates melanin production in the skin.

Thus, blueberries can help brighten the appearance of your complexion and fade the look of spots.

3. Reduces the Appearance of Fine Lines and Wrinkles

The third way blueberry extract benefits your skin is by reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

Wrinkles are the most common age-related side effects on your skin. While there’s no shame in having skin lined with life, nobody wants to struggle with premature wrinkles before it’s their time. That’s where blueberries come in.

These small fruits can smooth out wrinkles by promoting two key proteins in the skin: collagen and elastin. Collagen is responsible for keeping your skin strong, not saggy, and elastin is what gives your skin that youthful bounce. For older adults, your skin makes less and less of these proteins on its own — which is why antioxidants are so important for older skin.

Antioxidants like vitamin C can support your skin’s natural ability to create collagen, helping to replace the proteins lost to age. By keeping collagen and elastin levels in your skin high, blueberry extract can reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

How To Add Blueberries to Your Skincare Routine

You’ve heard just how powerful blueberries are when it comes to soothing, smoothing, and brightening the skin.

Now, you’re probably wondering: How can I get these benefits for my skin?

You can add blueberry antioxidants to your skincare routine in several ways. Our Signal Peptides™ collection targets tired skin and supports hydrated, firm skin through the power of wild blueberries and other rich plants:

  • Signal Peptides Firming Serum works to restore your skin’s youthful glow through a blueberry-driven hydration boost. In clinical trials, 97% of participants reported smoother skin after using this serum, and 91% reported firmer skin.

Superpower Your Skincare With Superoxides

Both at the breakfast table and in your skincare routine, you should start the day with juice.

The antioxidants found in blueberries make them one of the best ingredients for your skin. Unlike other synthetic chemicals that people promote as skincare ingredients, blueberry juice comes straight from the Earth, making it a rich resource for your skin. From healing acne to hydrating your moisture barrier, these small fruits pack a big punch.

2025 in Review: Retail Results – Beauty Outperforms Amid Uneven Consumer Confidence

0

If 2025 underscored one clear reality for global retail, it was that beauty continued to outperform, even as consumer confidence remained uneven and discretionary spending came under pressure. Across markets, retailers grappled with rising costs, shifting tourism flows and cautious shoppers, yet beauty and personal care consistently emerged as a stabilising force—supporting margins, driving footfall and, in several cases, underpinning improved outlooks.

In the US, beauty once again proved central to performance at mass and department store level. Ulta Beauty delivered sales growth across multiple quarters, raising its full-year outlook as fragrance, haircare and prestige continued to resonate with consumers seeking both indulgence and everyday value. The retailer’s performance stood in contrast to broader retail softness, reinforcing its position as one of the sector’s most resilient specialty players.

Department stores told a similar story. Macy’s repeatedly lifted its outlook through the year as Bluemercury and Bloomingdale’s delivered strong beauty-led growth, helping offset ongoing pressure in apparel and home. By year-end, management pointed to its strongest quarterly performance in nearly three years, with beauty positioned as a key driver of recovery. Kohl’s, while still navigating declining top-line sales, cited early progress in beauty and personal care as margins improved and confidence in its strategic reset grew.

Elsewhere in US retail, beauty continued to shine even when headline results disappointed. Target highlighted strength in its beauty division amid broader earnings challenges, while Walmart reported robust growth in beauty and personal care despite a rare profit miss. In each case, beauty stood out as one of the few categories consistently delivering volume, engagement and repeat purchasing.

In Europe, results were more polarised. DOUGLAS Group returned to growth and reaffirmed its full-year guidance as demand for premium beauty remained resilient, particularly in Central and Eastern Europe. Online players also fared well, with Zalando Beauty reporting double-digit growth as customer engagement increased. These performances contrasted sharply with those of traditional luxury department stores, where falling tourist spend and exceptional costs weighed heavily. Selfridges reported declining sales, while Harrods swung to a loss despite stable revenues, underlining the structural challenges facing legacy retail formats.

The UK presented a mixed picture. Boots Beauty continued to support growth at Walgreens Boots Alliance as retail transformation efforts progressed, although earnings pressure later in the year highlighted the limits of category strength in the face of wider cost and operational challenges. THG’s return to growth in the first half signalled improving sentiment in online beauty, following a prolonged period of recalibration.

Asia delivered some of the year’s strongest beauty performances. In India, Nykaa posted repeated quarters of outsized profit growth as demand for premium beauty accelerated and brand expansion gained pace, confirming the market’s growing importance beyond mass and entry-level segments. In China-linked e-commerce, JD.com reported strong growth in beauty and personal care, while social commerce momentum gathered pace as TikTok expanded its e-commerce operations into Japan, with cosmetics firmly in its sights.

Australia also contributed to the positive momentum, with Woolworths Beauty reporting double-digit growth and expanding its regional footprint as seasonal and experiential spending rebounded.

At a global brand level, L’Oréal’s nine-month results encapsulated the broader retail narrative: modest overall growth, driven by haircare, fragrances and online, with beauty outperforming many other discretionary categories.

Taken together, 2025’s retail results revealed a sector under strain—but not without clear winners. While uneven consumer confidence and structural pressures continued to weigh on traditional retail, beauty repeatedly proved its resilience. More than a traffic driver, it emerged as a strategic pillar—supporting profitability, justifying investment and offering retailers a rare source of dependable growth in an uncertain environment.

  • Make hair softer and shinier
  • Add moisture to hair
  • Manage frizz
  • Minimize hair breakage and strengthen hair

You’ll apply a mask to the mid-lengths to ends of your hair, leave it on, and then wash it out. Hair masks are generally formulated to:

  • Make hair softer and shinier

Signs Your Curly Hair Needs a Hair Mask

Curly hair is prone to dryness—even more so than other hair types. If your curly hair is:

  • Dry
  • Unwanted frizz
  • Lacking shine
  • Breaking easily
  • Tangles

Then it might be time for a hydrating hair mask that helps you reach your curly hair goals.

How to Choose a Hair Mask for Dry, Curly Hair

When choosing a hair mask for curls, pick one that’s formulated for your hair texture. You don’t want your curls to be weighed down or not receive enough moisture. As a reminder, the three hair textures are:

  • Fine: Each strand of hair has a narrow diameter.
  • Medium: The diameter of your hair is wider than fine hair but isn’t as wide as thick hair.
  • Thick: Your hair might feel coarse, and each strand of hair has a wide diameter.

Luckily, OLAPLEX has two hair masks created for your hair texture: Weightless Nourishing Mask and Rich Hydration Mask.
