THE WHAT? e.l.f. Beauty has launched the third cohort of its Change the Board Game initiative, welcoming 22 executives into its board readiness programme in partnership with the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD).
THE DETAILS The 2026 cohort is the largest since the programme launched in 2024 and brings the total number of executives to have participated in the initiative to more than 60. Change the Board Game aims to increase representation of women and people of colour on US public company boards by providing governance education, networking opportunities and board preparedness through NACD’s Accelerate programme. According to e.l.f. Beauty, applications for the programme have increased fourfold year on year, while 58% of participants who have completed the programme now serve on corporate boards.
THE WHY? The initiative forms part of e.l.f. Beauty’s broader diversity, equity and inclusion strategy, with the company seeking to expand access to board leadership opportunities and strengthen the pipeline of board-ready executives. The programme reflects growing recognition that diverse leadership teams can contribute to stronger corporate governance and long-term business performance.
