Inside Our ISO-Certified Facility – 100% PURE

0

Why Our Laboratory Standards Exceed Traditional “Natural” Beauty.

In the beauty industry, the most important question is often the one that goes unanswered: Where are your products actually made?

Many skincare brands speak passionately about purity, botanicals, and clean ingredients. But behind the scenes, the majority of formulas are produced in third-party contract laboratories—large facilities that manufacture products for dozens of brands simultaneously. In these environments, a “clean” serum may be blended in the same equipment used for heavily synthetic cosmetics or industrial formulations.

For consumers, this means that the promise of purity may end at the label.

At 100% PURE, we believe integrity begins long before a product reaches your skin. That is why we built Purity Park, our ISO-certified manufacturing facility in San Jose, California. Here, our products are not outsourced, rented, or produced anonymously—they are engineered, blended, and perfected in-house by the very scientists and formulators who design them.

Owning our facility allows us to practice what we call vertical integration: complete control over every stage of skincare creation. From ingredient sourcing to molecular stability testing to final packaging, each step is overseen by our own team.

Purity Park is not just a manufacturing space. It is a sanctuary where botanical science meets engineering precision—a place where purity is protected not only by philosophy, but by technology, protocol, and radical transparency.

The San Jose Standard: Precision Over Outsourcing

To understand why Purity Park exists, we must first understand the hidden reality of modern beauty manufacturing.

Most brands operate as what industry insiders call “renters.” They design formulas but rely on external factories to produce them. These large contract laboratories manufacture products for numerous companies at once, which increases the risk of cross-contamination and reduces oversight over ingredient handling.

In such facilities, the chain of custody—the journey an ingredient takes from source to finished product—can become fragmented. A botanical extract may be stored near synthetic chemicals or processed in equipment previously used for entirely different formulations.

For sensitive skin, even trace contamination can matter.

This is precisely why the founders of 100% PURE chose a different path. Rather than trusting external manufacturers, they built Purity Park, an ISO-certified laboratory designed to maintain strict control over ingredient integrity and production conditions.

ISO certification represents one of the highest global standards for quality management and manufacturing precision. Achieving it requires rigorous operational documentation, environmental control, and continuous inspection.

For those with sensitive or reactive skin, this matters deeply. Botanical ingredients are powerful but delicate; their integrity depends on the environment in which they are processed. A sterile, controlled laboratory ensures that soothing plant compounds remain exactly what they were meant to be—pure, stable, and effective.

Owning our lab means we control the entire chain of custody. We know where every ingredient came from, how it was processed, and how it behaves at the molecular level during formulation.

This level of oversight transforms skincare from a marketing exercise into a scientific discipline.

The Beauty Bakery Philosophy

Despite its advanced engineering, Purity Park operates according to a surprisingly simple philosophy.

We call it the Beauty Bakery.

Just as a bakery produces fresh bread daily rather than storing loaves for years, we prioritize small-batch skincare manufacturing. This approach allows our formulas to remain fresh, potent, and biologically active.

Large-scale cosmetic manufacturing often prioritizes long shelf lives. Products may sit in warehouses for months or years before reaching customers. To survive these conditions, formulas are frequently loaded with aggressive preservatives and stabilizers.

But botanical ingredients are not designed to remain dormant indefinitely.

Plants are biologically complex. Their nutrients—antioxidants, vitamins, fatty acids—are living systems that gradually degrade when exposed to environmental stress. The longer a formula sits unused, the more likely its active components will weaken.

Our small-batch approach solves this problem.

By producing formulas frequently and in controlled quantities, we ensure that products reach customers closer to their peak biological potency. This freshness allows us to use gentler stabilization methods rather than relying on harsh preservatives.

The Beauty Bakery model also helps us protect our formulas from skincare’s three greatest enemies:

Light. Heat. Oxygen.

At Purity Park, specialized storage systems protect ingredients from UV exposure. Temperature-controlled environments maintain stability for delicate oils and botanical extracts. Oxygen exposure is minimized during blending and filling to prevent oxidation.

These environmental safeguards help preserve the bioavailability of nutrients—the ability of the skin to recognize and absorb beneficial compounds.

When antioxidants like matcha or seaberry oils reach your skin in their stable form, they can perform their intended role: protecting the skin barrier and supporting repair.

Engineered at the Source: The Strength Ritual

The true power of Purity Park becomes visible in the rituals that emerge from its laboratories—especially The Sensitive-Skin Strength Ritual. Every product within this ritual is developed with one fundamental understanding: manufacturing precision directly influences skin performance. For sensitive skin, even minor variations in ingredient stability or environmental contamination can affect how a formula behaves on the skin. That is why each step—from blending to filling—is executed within the controlled environment of our ISO-certified facility.

Calendula Flower Cleansing Milk

Gentle cleansing is the first step in restoring the skin barrier. This soothing formula relies on calendula botanicals known for their calming properties.

Because botanical extracts can be vulnerable to microbial contamination, this cleanser is produced in a sterile environment where the purity of its ingredients remains protected. The result is a cleansing milk that comforts sensitive skin without disrupting its natural balance.

Matcha Oat Face Scrub

Exfoliation should refine the skin—not overwhelm it.

This scrub combines finely milled oats with antioxidant-rich matcha to polish the skin gently while delivering protective nutrients. Small-batch blending ensures that the oats maintain the precise texture required for gentle resurfacing without abrasion.

Matcha Oat Milk Nourishing Mask

Matcha is renowned for its high concentration of polyphenols, powerful antioxidants that help protect skin from environmental stress.

However, matcha is extremely sensitive to oxygen and light. At Purity Park, our controlled environment preserves the potency of these compounds so they remain active when applied to the skin.

Intensive Nourishing Facial Oil

Botanical oils are some of the most nutrient-dense ingredients in skincare—but they are also highly prone to oxidation.

During manufacturing, our oxygen-controlled filling systems ensure that these delicate oils remain stable and unoxidized. This precision preserves the essential fatty acids and vitamins that help restore the skin barrier.

Seaberry Moisturizer

Seaberry oil contains an exceptional concentration of omegas, vitamins, and antioxidants that support skin resilience.

Because these compounds are naturally vibrant and biologically active, they require careful stabilization during formulation. Purity Park’s controlled environment ensures that these phytonutrients remain stable from blending to final packaging.

Conclusion

Purity Park represents more than a manufacturing facility. It is the physical embodiment of our commitment to radical integrity in skincare.

By building our own ISO-certified laboratory in San Jose, we eliminated the uncertainty of outsourced production and established a new standard for transparency. Every formula created here is guided by the same philosophy that inspired the brand from the beginning: nature deserves the precision of science.

This vertically integrated approach allows us to control every aspect of production—from ingredient sourcing to molecular stability to final packaging. It ensures that each product leaving our laboratory carries the same purity it had at the moment of creation.

For over two decades, this philosophy has guided our work.

When you choose 100% PURE, you are not simply choosing botanical skincare. You are choosing the security of a laboratory where purity is engineered, protected, and perfected.

Purity Park is our promise made visible.

FAQ

What does it mean for a skincare facility to be ISO-certified?

ISO certification represents a globally recognized standard for quality management and operational safety. Facilities must follow strict procedures for hygiene, testing, documentation, and quality control. Regular inspections ensure that these standards are consistently maintained.

Why is “Made in San Jose” a mark of quality?

San Jose sits at the center of Silicon Valley, a region known for engineering innovation and technical precision. By building Purity Park here, we operate within a culture that values scientific excellence and advanced manufacturing standards.

Does small-batch manufacturing make a difference for sensitive skin?

Yes. Small-batch production allows skincare formulas to remain fresher and more stable. Because these products are not designed to sit in warehouses for years, they can be formulated with gentler stabilization systems and fewer harsh preservatives—making them especially beneficial for sensitive skin.

Who is HSTikkyTokky? The controversial influencer on Louis Theroux’s new Netflix documentary

0

Louis Theroux is turning his lens on one of the internet’s most controversial subcultures: the so-called “manosphere,” interviewing the likes of HSTikkyTokky, whose real name is Harrison Sullivan; Ed Matthews, and Myron Gaine.

Over the years, the acclaimed filmmaker has immersed himself in worlds spanning Scientology and swinging, the Westboro Baptist Church and survivalists in rural America — always with his signature calm curiosity. After months of speculation, Netflix has confirmed that a documentary exploring the online ecosystem of male influencers and grievance-driven communities is on the way, complete with a headline-grabbing trailer.

Among those featured is controversial influencer HSTikkyTokky, setting the stage for what promises to be a probing look at digital masculinity and its real-world consequences.

Here’s what we know so far about Theroux’s latest subject, Inside the Manosphere.

Who is HSTikkyTokky?

HSTikkyTokky — whose real name is Harrison Sullivan — currently has around 132,000 followers on TikTok. However, several of his accounts have reportedly been removed in the past, suggesting his cumulative reach may be significantly higher.

The British influencer has previously been dubbed a “pound shop Andrew Tate” and, in an earlier interview with a journalist, admitted to being “racist… a misogynist… homophobic.” He initially built a following through fitness content before pivoting to videos focused on wealth-building, including cryptocurrency trading — something he appears to discuss with Theroux in the documentary trailer.

The UK’s Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), which oversees the financial services industry, has issued warnings regarding Sullivan’s activities. The regulator states: “This firm may be providing or promoting financial services or products without our permission. You should avoid dealing with this firm and beware of scams.

Merit Signature Lip Blush – The Beauty Look Book

0

I’ve been playing with more from Merit and the latest lip launch is beautiful! They launched a lightweight matte lipstick called the Signature Lip Blush ($28 each, Sephora and Merit). It’s a sheer minimalist lip product with a blurred matte finish. Formula is very lightweight as described but still manages to have a balmy feel.

They launched Archival in a set over the holiday (see it reviewed here and in action here) and just recently added 7 more shades to the lineup.

Merit Signature Lip Blush Archival, Andie and Vendome

I tried two sent in PR Andie which is the prettiest baby pink and Vendome which is a beautiful beige tan. I love both the colors and think they’re perfect for everyday wear. I also still really like Archival as a pretty mauve that is cool-toned but not so cool-toned that it looks blue. Paired each lip look with the Merit Flush Balm Cream in Le BonBon.

Also wearing:

Merit Signature Lip Blush Andie

Merit Signature Lip Blush Vendome

Merit Signature Lip Blush Archival

There are a few downsides though. If you’re a fan of seeing color payoff or long wear time, these aren’t going to be the lipstick for you. Pigment on the shades I tried is on the sheer side and while you can swipe and layer for more coverage, they still pull very sheer. Almost like a blotted lip stain but sheer. The lasting power isn’t there for me although I have not tried them over a lip liner. I suspect this is due to the balmy nature. It’s not a deal breaker for me, but I thought I’d mention it since I know a lot of you want something super long wearing that will require maybe 1-2 touch ups throughout the day.

For a matte lip I tend to prefer something with more coverage although I really like the colors I tried. I think the formula is very comfortable and easy to wear. Also love that it is a little bit hydrating in the sense that they don’t dry out my lips.

Available now at Sephora and Merit.

Trinny London The Elevator Neck/Décolleté Concentrate Review - Before & After (5 Weeks Results)

I have tested a lot of skincare over the years, and I am not easily impressed. After five weeks of consistently using The Elevator by Trinny London, I can honestly say this has been one of the most impressive targeted treatments I’ve tried for the neck and chest area.

This is my full, in-depth review of The Elevator, including ingredients, technology, clinical data and my personal before & after results at almost 52.

I will be including a 5-week before and after image so you can see the visible progress.

What Is The Elevator by Trinny London?

What is The Elevator by Trinny London?
What is The Elevator by Trinny London?

The Elevator is described as a gravity-defying neck and décolleté concentrate designed to lift, firm, smooth and visibly even out the skin below the jawline.

The skin on the neck ages differently and often faster than the face. It’s thinner, has fewer oil glands and is constantly working against gravity.

The Elevator by Trinny London is designed to:

  • Help lift sagging skin
  • Improve firmness and elasticity
  • Smooth fine lines and crepey texture
  • Fade visible age spots and sun damage
  • Redefine the look of the neck and chest

It’s also Trinny London’s bestseller, with one sold every 30 seconds.

Key Ingredients

Cohesion Technology – helps strengthen the connection between skin layers to improve firmness and support elasticity.

Peptide Complex – supports collagen production to improve firmness and smooth the appearance of crepey skin.

Encapsulated Alpha Arbutin – helps reduce the appearance of dark spots and uneven tone on the neck and chest.

Skin-Nourishing Hydrators – moisturising ingredients that keep the skin smooth, comfortable and healthy-looking.

Who Is Trinny London?

Trinny London was founded by Trinny Woodall in 2017 and has quickly become known for its innovative, problem-solving approach to beauty.

Originally famous from What Not to Wear, Trinny has built a brand focused on easy-to-use, high-performance makeup and skincare designed for real women and real concerns.

Today the range spans stackable cream makeup and targeted skincare solutions, including products like The Elevator by Trinny London, created to address specific concerns such as loss of elasticity, pigmentation and skin texture.

Why the Neck Needs a Specialist Formula

The appearance of the skin on my neck has been bothering me for probably the last five years. It started with a bit more softness and looseness under the chin and I have kept noticing it more and more in photos and on camera.

I’ll be 52 this year, and while I feel completely comfortable in my skin, the neck is the one area that has genuinely made me feel my age more than any other part of my body.

Studies show that 80% of women believe their neck gives away their age. I understand that statistic completely.

Structurally, it makes sense:

  • Collagen declines (we lose around 1% per year after our 20s)
  • Dermal fibres become disorganised
  • The connection between skin layers weakens
  • Pigmentation becomes more visible
  • Skin becomes thinner and less elastic

For me, the biggest issue hasn’t actually been lines. It’s been elasticity. That “snap back” just hasn’t been what it once was.

The Technology Behind The Elevator by Trinny London

Key to the The Elevator by Trinny London is its combination of cohesion technology, supercharged peptides and encapsulated alpha arbutin. The formula is built around structural support.

Cohesion Technology

One of the most interesting elements of The Elevator by Trinny London is its innovative cohesion technology.

This works to strengthen the bond between the epidermis and dermis, essentially reinforcing the structural “glue” that holds skin layers together. As that connection weakens with age, sagging becomes more visible.

At nearly 52, this is exactly the kind of support my skin needs. Not a quick surface plump, but reinforcement.

By restoring cohesion between these layers, the skin appears more lifted and better supported against gravity.

Supercharged Peptides

Peptides are short chains of amino acids that act as messengers, signalling the skin to produce more collagen and elastin.

In The Elevator by Trinny London, the peptide blend works to:

  • Rebuild skin scaffolding
  • Boost collagen production
  • Improve firmness
  • Smooth crepey texture
  • Support long-term elasticity

As someone who has noticed that gradual softening over the past five years, this restructuring element is what really appealed to me.

Encapsulated Alpha Arbutin

Pigmentation on the neck and chest can be stubborn. Alpha arbutin slows melanin production, helping to prevent and visibly fade dark spots. The encapsulation technology used in The Elevator by Trinny London allows for deeper, more precise delivery.

Texture & Application

The Elevator by Trinny London has a rich, balmy texture that feels nourishing but not heavy.

  • 100% silicone-free
  • Comforting but not greasy
  • Absorbs without residue
  • Subtle signature Trinny London scent

I apply it morning and evening, massaging upwards. It feels instantly smoothing, but the real difference comes with consistent use.

What I Saw Change

After five weeks of twice-daily use, here’s what I noticed:

1. Increased Elasticity

This has been the most impressive difference.

When I gently press the skin on my neck now, it bounces back faster. There is noticeably more resilience and springiness.

Over the last few years, I began noticing that lag in movement. After five weeks, that delay has reduced. The skin feels more responsive and supported.

2. Smoother Texture & Reduced Crepiness

The crepey quality has improved and fine lines look softer.

In an 8-week consumer study of 116 volunteers:

  • 96% agreed skin looked smoother
  • 88% agreed skin felt firmer and more elastic
  • 87% agreed skin looked visibly lifted and tighter
  • 93% agreed skin texture looked more refined
  • 89% agreed neck lines were softened and crepey skin improved
  • 82% felt more confident showing their neck and décolleté

After five weeks, I completely understand those statistics.

Who Is The Elevator by Trinny London For?

The Elevator by Trinny London is recommended for anyone 35+ who wants to proactively care for their neck and chest.

If you’re noticing:

  • Sagging
  • Loss of elasticity
  • Crepey texture
  • Age spots
  • Reduced firmness

Or, like me, you’ve quietly been worrying about your neck for the last few years, this is worth considering. I kind of wish I had started using it before I really started to see the issues.

It is suitable for sensitive skin and is 100% silicone-free.

Is The Elevator by Trinny London Worth It?

For me, yes. The most impressive change has been elasticity and bounce. At nearly 52, that renewed resilience makes my neck look healthier and feel stronger. It has delivered progressive, structural improvement over five weeks.

After feeling self-conscious about this area, that feels genuinely game-changing.

Final Thoughts on The Elevator by Trinny London

This is a product that actually works. After five weeks using The Elevator by Trinny London, my neck feels firmer, smoother and more elastic, and I really feel more confident about how it looks.

If you are looking for a product to address ageing concerns in your neck area, I couldn’t recommend this more.

How To Use Coconut Water to Achieve Glowing Skin

0

Coconut water has been recognized not only as a refreshing drink but also for its potential benefits in skincare. Considering incorporating coconut water into your beauty regimen?

Here’s what you should know:

Coconut water is packed with nutrients like vitamins C and K, magnesium, potassium, and trace amounts of zinc, all of which are beneficial for the skin. These nutrients help to moisturize and nourish the skin from within, promoting a clearer, more vibrant complexion. The cytokinins present in coconut water also have anti-aging properties, helping to reduce wrinkles and improve skin elasticity.

Applying coconut water directly to the skin can hydrate and rejuvenate it, making it an excellent natural alternative to commercial moisturizers. Its antibacterial properties can help to treat acne and other skin infections, while its anti-inflammatory qualities can soothe irritated skin.

In addition to using it topically, drinking coconut water regularly can contribute to improved skin health due to its hydrating properties, which help to flush out toxins and nourish the cells, leaving the skin glowing.

For those looking to integrate coconut water into their skincare routine, it can be used as a facial cleanser, a hydrating face mask when mixed with other natural ingredients, or simply a refreshing toner that helps to balance the skin’s pH levels.

With its various dermatological benefits, it’s no wonder that coconut water is becoming a staple in the beauty regimens of many looking for natural skincare solutions.

Hydration

Coconut water is celebrated not only for its refreshing taste but also for its hydrating properties that are beneficial both internally and externally. When applied topically, coconut water can help moisturize and soothe the skin, making it particularly beneficial for those with dry or dehydrated complexions. This natural beverage is rich in vitamins, minerals, and amino acids that help to nourish the skin, promoting elasticity and radiance.

Furthermore, its anti-inflammatory properties can help to reduce redness and calm irritated skin. Incorporating coconut water into a skincare routine can be as simple as using it as a facial cleanser or toner to reap its hydrating benefits.

Antioxidant Properties

Coconut water, a natural elixir, is not only refreshing but also imbued with several health benefits, especially for the skin. Packed with antioxidants, coconut water fights against free radicals, thereby protecting the skin from premature aging. This incredible natural beverage is rich in cytokinins, which are known to regulate cell growth and their division. Coconut water can potentially reduce the appearance of wrinkles and maintain skin elasticity, giving your skin a youthful and vibrant glow.

Moreover, coconut water is hydrating and can replenish essential electrolytes in the body, promoting healthier skin. Regular consumption or application of coconut water can enhance skin hydration, leaving it supple and moisturized. This can be particularly beneficial in dry and harsh weather conditions, where the skin tends to lose its natural moisture more rapidly.

In addition to its anti-aging properties, coconut water contains vitamins like vitamin C and minerals like magnesium, which can further enhance its effectiveness in skin care. Vitamin C is crucial for collagen synthesis, which helps in maintaining the skin’s firmness and elasticity. Magnesium, on the other hand, can help in combating stress and sleep disorders, which often reflect on one’s skin condition.

Utilizing coconut water in your daily routine, whether by drinking it or using it as a part of your skincare regimen, can contribute significantly to healthier, more resilient skin.

Rich in Nutrients

Coconut water

It contains vitamins such as Vitamin C, which is vital for maintaining skin radiance and elasticity. This nutrient can help in brightening the skin and promoting a more even skin tone.

Anti-inflammatory and Antimicrobial

Coconut water has anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties, making it a good option for soothing and treating skin conditions like acne. It can help reduce redness and calm irritation.

Natural and Gentle

Being a natural ingredient, coconut water is generally gentle on the skin, making it suitable for those with sensitive skin or those looking to use more environmentally friendly beauty products.

Precautions to Consider

While the use of coconut water on the skin is generally safe, individual reactions can vary. It’s advisable to perform a patch test before fully incorporating it into your skincare routine, especially if you have sensitive skin. Additionally, consulting with a dermatologist is recommended if you have serious skin concerns.

In summary, coconut water can offer various skincare benefits, from hydration to anti-aging. Provided that it is suitable for your skin type, it could be a valuable addition to your daily skincare regime.

This Subtle Relationship Stressor Could Be Aging You Faster

0

Why do toxic people impact us so much?

There are likely a few things going on here. A big one, per Dr. Lee, is that hasslers can cause chronic stress in your life. This sparks chain reaction in your body, causing the release of the stress hormone cortisol which fuels inflammation, he explains.

If you deal with a hassler here and there, it’s likely not a big deal for your health, according to Dr. Lee. But when this is an ongoing thing—meaning, you have a coworker or family member who seems hellbent on making life harder for you—it can lead to what Dr. Lee calls “cumulative biological wear and tear.”

“These ‘hasslers’ are not just stressful; They are associated with measurable acceleration in biological aging at the molecular level, along with higher inflammation, depression, anxiety, and chronic disease burden,” Dr. Lee says. Over time, that can shorten your life, Aaron P. Brinen, PsyD, assistant professor of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, tells SELF.

When hassling is chronic, you start to anticipate the anxiety that will come from these interactions, which makes the stress even worse, Thea Gallagher, PsyD, clinical associate professor of psychology at NYU Langone Health, tells SELF. “Then, you’re bracing for impact and it takes a physical and mental toll,” she says.

The lower impact of spousal hasslers is a little confusing, but Dr. Lee has a theory for this. “Spousal relationships often combine negative and positive exchanges in ways that differ from other close ties,” he says “A spouse who hassles you is also often someone you share daily routines, resources, and emotional intimacy with, which may offset or complicate the effects of conflict.”

On the other hand, hasslers who are family “may create stress that feels deeply embedded and hard to escape, but without the same balancing mix of daily intimacy and mutual investment,” Dr. Lee says. (The study found that hasslers who weren’t family but weren’t spouses, like coworkers or acquaintances had a moderate impact on aging.)

Why rewatching One Tree Hill in your 30s hits different

0

I first watched One Tree Hill at the tender age of 13. At the time, I thought I was watching it just for a glimpse of my crush, Chad Michael Murray. But after re-watching it in my thirties, I was shocked by how much of myself I saw in the characters, their relationships, and storylines.

One Tree Hill first aired in 2003, following the lives of two half-brothers, Lucas and Nathan Scott, played by Chad Michael Murray and James Lafferty, who attend high school in the fictional town of Tree Hill. We explore their lifelong friendship with Haley James Scott (Bethany Joy Lenz) and follow Lucas’ pursuit of Peyton Sawyer Scott (Hilarie Burton), including an ill-advised love triangle with her best friend Brooke Davis Baker (Sophia Bush). Together, these characters have become known as the ‘core five’.

©Warner Bros/Courtesy Everett Collection

As is bound to happen during a rewatch of any Noughties show, I was surprised by the toxicity of One Tree Hill – especially during the earlier seasons. Take the pilot, when Lucas and Nathan’s sibling rivalry sees them playing basketball to win a prize. Said prize? A night spent with Nathan’s then-girlfriend, Peyton, which he generously refuses to claim. Misogyny, fatphobia, and slutshaming were rampant throughout the show. While watching season two, I was surprised to see Lucas’ friend Marvin Macfadden exhibit incel-like behaviour and entitlement when rejected by female characters. I also hated seeing Brooke and Peyton being relentlessly characterised as damsels in distress.

The toxicity wasn’t reserved for on-screen moments, either. In 2017, actor Hilarie Burton accused showrunner Mark Schwahn of harassment and assault on set, before other cast members and crew signed an open letter attesting to his behaviour. Schwahn has never spoken publicly about the allegations.

The Ultimate Grocery List for GLP-1 Users, According to a Dietitian

0

Every bite matters when you start taking a GLP-1. Prioritizing nutrient-dense foods that support your gut and digestive health and maintaining proper hydration can make a real difference in your comfort, energy levels, and long-term success.

As a registered dietitian, I’ve helped many clients navigate these changes. Based on what I’ve seen, it’s not uncommon for people prescribed GLP-1s to be told simply to “eat healthy and drink water” to maintain their health, leaving them confused about what that means in practicality. What does “healthy” look like as your appetite, digestion, and body shift?

So I’ve pulled together my top grocery staples for GLP-1 users, along with practical, science-backed reasons each can help you feel nourished. The below list is broken up into categories based on common challenges associated with GLP-1 use. Hopefully, this guide will help you navigate the grocery aisles (or Instacart website) with ease and make choices that align with your health goals. And remember, this is general advice; whenever possible, meeting with a registered dietitian can help you get truly personalized guidance along your GLP-1 journey.

Protein

For GLP-1 users, protein does more than just fill you up—it’s crucial for making the most of every bite when your appetite is smaller. Prioritizing protein helps maintain muscle mass during weight loss, as losing weight too quickly can lead to muscle loss along with fat. (And you don’t want to lose muscle—it’s essential for maintaining strength, mobility, and metabolic health, all of which are key to sustaining weight loss, staying active, and supporting long-term well-being). The macro also promotes satiety, which will prevent hunger from sneaking back too soon. Here are some protein staples GLP-1 users might find beneficial to include in their diet.

Salmon

Salmon isn’t just a protein powerhouse. It’s also a great dose of omega-3s, which support heart health and help calm inflammation, a condition often associated with obesity and type 2 diabetes. Even a few bites provide an impressive amount of omega-3s, contributing significantly toward the recommended adequate intake of 1.1 grams per day for women and 1.6 grams per day for men. (Just 1 ounce of salmon provides more than 0.5 grams.)

Eggs

Eggs are easy to prepare, gentle on digestion, and help you feel full. Their protein helps you keep muscle through weight loss, and they provide key nutrients that many people who take these medications don’t eat enough of, like vitamin D and choline. Scrambled, hard-boiled, or poached, eggs offer reliable nutrition and energy when you need it most.

Ultra-filtered milk

Ultra-filtered milk is 100% real cow’s milk that goes through a special filtration process to separate and concentrate the protein while significantly reducing the sugar (lactose) content, giving it a unique nutritional profile—around 11 grams of protein per 8-ounce serving. It’s easy to drink on its own, add to smoothies, or use in recipes.

Fiber & gut health

Fiber and gut-friendly foods are game-changers for GLP-1 users. These medications can delay gastric emptying and slow down your digestive tract, which means getting enough fiber is key to keeping things moving and staying comfortable. Here are some top picks for fiber support.

Prunes

Prunes offer both soluble and insoluble fiber, proving especially helpful for the regularity challenges that often come with GLP-1s. Their mild laxative effect is gentle but effective, and their natural sweetness can satisfy sugar cravings. Thanks to their low glycemic index, prunes also help maintain stable blood sugar levels, which is crucial for GLP-1 users managing diabetes or aiming for better glucose control.

Berries

Antioxidant-rich and full of gentle fiber, berries like blueberries and raspberries support gut health and encourage regularity. Their low sugar content helps stabilize blood glucose, and they’re easy to add to yogurt or oats for a tasty nutrition boost.

Digestive comfort foods

When your appetite shifts and nausea or stomach sensitivity appears, having options that soothe your system is key to enjoying meals. These foods are gentle, easy to tolerate, and help you meet your nutrition goals without adding digestive stress.

Greek yogurt

Packed with protein and probiotics, Greek yogurt is easy on the stomach. The protein helps satisfy hunger, and the probiotics support gut health. Enjoy it plain, with fruit, or as a dip for veggies.

Ginger

If you struggle with nausea while taking GLP-1s, ginger can offer real relief. Try ginger tea, chews, or add fresh ginger to a stir-fry for anti-nausea support. It’s a gentle, reliable way to make eating more comfortable.

Hydration support

Hydration is easy to overlook when your appetite dips, but it happens often—and is vital for GLP-1 users. Keeping your fluid options varied and interesting can help you stay ahead of side effects like fatigue or headaches.

Cucumber and citrus-infused water

Sometimes plain water just doesn’t do it for you. Adding cucumber or citrus and allowing it to infuse for a while can make sipping more appealing and encourage regular hydration throughout the day. You can also enjoy water with a splash of 100% fruit juice for some flavor and a small amount of extra antioxidants.

Bone broth

Bone broth provides electrolytes for hydration and contains natural collagen and minerals to soothe a sensitive digestive system. Its warmth can be calming if you have a smaller appetite or mild nausea.

And what about supplements?

Some data suggest that multivitamins, vitamin D, and omega-3 or fish oil supplements can help fill nutrient gaps while taking GLP-1s, and that protein and creatine supplementation may help preserve lean mass and build muscle strength during weight loss. Ultimately, your supplementation plan should be based on individualized, evidence-based care. It’s always best to defer to your healthcare provider, who can guide you based on regular bloodwork and your unique health profile. You can also partner with a registered dietitian to strategize on the nutrition aspect of your journey.
