The Science of a Stable Glow — 100% PURE

0

In the world of beauty, there is a very fine, often misunderstood line between “sparkly” and “luminous.” We’ve all seen—or perhaps experienced—the “sparkle trap”: a highlighter that looks like craft glitter, sitting on top of the skin and migrating toward the chin by noon, or a shimmer that looks beautiful in a dark room but turns “oily” the moment you step into the sun.

True radiance isn’t something you simply “throw on.” It is an architectural element of your look. When we talk about sophisticated radiancewe are talking about light that behaves like a second skin—light that highlights the bone structure you were born with and gives the illusion of a perpetual “golden hour” glow.

The secret to this professional finish isn’t just the pigment; it’s the science of the carrier. While traditional highlighters rely on powders that can look “chalky” or synthetic silicones that can feel “slippery,” the Fruit Pigmented® Gemmed Luminizer uses the stabilizing power of nature to create a glow that stays exactly where you put it.

I. The Foundation of the Glow: Why Botanical Butters Matter

If you’ve ever feared a luminizer tutorialit’s likely because you’ve dealt with formulas that “slide.” When a highlighter is made with thin, unstable oils, it tends to travel across your face, turning a “glow” into “grease.”

The Superiority of Avocado and Cocoa Butters

At the heart of our Gemmed Luminizer is a rich, skin-loving blend of avocado and cocoa butters. These aren’t just moisturizing ingredients; they are the “anchors” of your radiance.

  • Molecular Stability: Unlike liquid oils, botanical butters are solid at room temperature but melt at body temperature. This means that as you tap the luminizer onto your skin, the butters melt just enough to bond with your Fruit Pigmented® 2nd Skin Foundationthen “set” back into a stable, breathable barrier.
  • The Seamless Melt: Because these butters share a similar lipid structure to your skin’s own moisture, they don’t sit “on top.” They meld. This is what creates that botanical beauty glow—the look of a face that is naturally dewy, not “made up.”
  • No Fading: Powders are often absorbed by the skin’s oils or brushed off by a stray hand. Butters provide a “stay-put” finish that resists fading from morning coffee to evening cocktails.

II. Multidimensional Dimension: More Than Just Shimmer

What does it mean for a highlighter to be multidimensional? In the traditional sense, shimmer is often “flat”—it’s a single color (usually silver or gold) that reflects light in one direction.

A multidimensional highlighterhowever, mimics the way real, healthy skin behaves. Healthy skin is slightly translucent; it catches light from various angles and reflects back a spectrum of tones.

  • Real Gemstones: We’ve infused this formula with high-purity minerals and actual gemstones like moonstone and labradorite. These minerals don’t just “shine”; they refract light. This means as you move your head, the light shifts softly across your features, creating an “architectural” lift that looks different (and equally beautiful) from every angle.
  • Sophisticated Pigment: Because the colors are derived from fruit pigments, the glow has a warmth and “life” to it that synthetic dyes simply can’t replicate. It looks like vitality, not glitter.

III. Sculpting the Real-You Look: A Mini-Tutorial

To achieve a professional-grade finish, you must apply your light with intention. We aren’t just “shining”; we are sculpting.

The Prep

Start with your Fruit Pigmented® 2nd Skin Foundation. Because this foundation has a satin finishit provides the perfect “middle-ground” canvas—not too matte, not too shiny.

The Sculpting Method

  1. The C-Shape: Using your ring finger, tap the Gemmed Luminizer in a “C” shape starting from the top of your cheekbone and wrapping up toward your temple. This creates an immediate “lift” to the face.
  2. The Architectural Bridge: Gently run a tiny amount down the bridge of your nose, but stop before you reach the tip. This slims and defines the center of the face.
  3. The Cupid’s Bow: A quick dab on the V-shape of your upper lip makes your lips appear fuller and more defined.
  4. The Finishing Touch: Balance the “sculpt” by applying a swipe of Fruit Pigmented® Lip Gloss. The juicy shine of the gloss on your lips mirrors the botanical glow on your cheeks, creating a cohesive, intentional look.

IV. Conclusion: Lighting as an Act of Intention

When you look in the mirror and add light to your face, you are making a choice to highlight your best features. You are choosing to see the “architecture” of your beauty. By using a stable glow powered by botanical butters, you ensure that your radiance is a constant, reliable part of your day—not something that disappears the moment things get busy.

This is the power of the Real-You Beauty Collection. It doesn’t just give you “makeup”; it gives you the tools to light up your spirit with the best that nature has to offer. Go ahead—find your golden hour. The world is ready to see you shine.

FAQ: Mastering Your Botanical Glow

Where exactly should I apply luminizer for a natural look?

Think of where the sun would naturally hit your face if you were standing outside at noon. This includes the very tops of your cheekbones, the brow bones, the bridge of the nose, and the Cupid’s bow. Avoid the “T-zone” (the center of the forehead and the chin) if you want to avoid looking oily; keep the light to the “high points” for a sculpted, sophisticated effect.

Can I use a cream luminizer if I have oily skin?

Absolutely! This is a common myth. Because our Gemmed Luminizer is built on a base of cocoa and avocado buttersit is actually quite stable. It isn’t “greasy” like an oil-based highlighter. If you have very oily skin, simply set your 2nd Skin Foundation with a light dusting of translucent powder before tapping on your luminizer. The cream will still bond to the skin, but the powder will act as a buffer against your natural oils.

How does this formula resist fading?

Traditional powder highlighters are made of loose particles that can easily be “dusted” off or absorbed. Our botanical beauty glow is different. The butters create a flexible, microscopic film over the skin that “locks” the mineral pigments in place. It essentially acts as a long-wear “seal” that keeps your highlight vibrant for up to 12 hours.

The Ordinary Caffeine Escin Serum: Is It Worth It?

0

Last Updated on June 14, 2026 by omgbart

The Ordinary just launched a Caffeine 3% + Escin 1% Face Serum, and the name will trip a few people up. This is not the Caffeine Solution 5% + EGCG you reach for under tired eyes. It’s a face serum, and the directions tell you to keep it away from the eye contour. I never found the old eye formula particularly remarkable. Yet here I am with a fresh bottle, equal parts intrigued and hopeful.

The Ordinary caffeine serum bottle next to box

What is The Ordinary Caffeine 3% + Escin 1%?

In short, a morning energizing serum for the whole face. Caffeine at 3% for the fresher, less-tired look. Escin at 1% to amplify it, a horse chestnut extract that calms inflammation and stimulates microcirculation. That bump in blood flow brings slight depuffing, which is where the lift-and-sculpt language comes from. There’s also a Bacillus ferment for hydration that sticks around.

The Ordinary new re-energizing serum with caffeine

Water opens the INCI, as you’d expect, but this serum carries real textural heft. It’s milky. That’s because Ethyl Macadamiate and Ethylhexyl Olivate sit right near the top, plant-derived emollients that give it an almost lotion-like viscosity.

The Ordinary caffeine face serum texture on skin

Who is the Caffeine + Escin serum for?

If you’re a fan of The Ordinary, you probably lean minimalist. This one is for anyone who wants a quick AM step to look more awake and a touch more defined. If your skin runs combination-to-oily, or you live somewhere humid, it doubles easily as a daytime moisturizer under sunscreen. Which is my way of saying: it’s moisturizing. Surprisingly so.

The Ordinary serum cocktailing

How I use The Ordinary Caffeine + Escin serum

If you’re new to The Ordinary, one piece of advice: not all of their serums layer well. It’s rare that they do. My rule is to cocktail no more than two, and this Caffeine + Escin mixes beautifully with their Multi-Peptide + HA serum. Half a dropper of each in the palm, applied to clean, dry skin. The blend absorbs within seconds and leaves my skin looking radiant and awake.

Mixing The Ordinary serums

A note on the eye area. The label says to avoid it, and I told you the same up top. That said, I extend this cocktail to the orbital bone with care, nowhere near the lash line, with no issue. Your call, not the brand’s recommendation.

The Ordinary caffeine serum for face

Used solo, I cannot stress this enough: apply it to dry skin. The emulsion-like texture doesn’t belong on damp or misted skin. It slides, is slow to absorb, and can leave odd streaks. Trust me, I tried. To me, this is a perfect example of a booster serum. My skin loves it as an add-on.

Is The Ordinary Caffeine 3% + Escin 1% worth it?

At around $9, it’s a low-risk thing to try. I rate a handful of The Ordinary’s lineupand this lands in the same easy-yes price bracket, even if it reads more like maintenance than a miracle.

Petite and Struggling to Find Pants? Here’s Why (and What Helps) — Inside Out Style

0

twitterpinterestlinkedinmail

A lovely reader wrote to me with this fashion issue: “My height and build, which is petite, is my main challenge when it comes to shopping for clothes. Most especially trousers. I’ve bought crop trousers, however, the fit isn’t that good. Tops with V-necks or cro crossover dresses are a problem as the V comes too low. I’ve had breast surgery, so I’m a lot smaller on one side, which makes it difficult. I’m also short-waisted, so f so fitted items can pose problems. Petite clothing seems to look either very boring or very girly, and I’ve tried all the stores that do petite ranges but have been disappointed. I wish the fashion fairy would come up with a solution for me as I’m 71 and would still like to be stylish for quite a few years as I love fashion and clothes.”

Why Your Trousers Will Never Fit (And What To Actually Do About It)

Let’s start with a truth that every woman knows but the fashion industry would rather you forget: trousers are the hardest garment in existence to fit a human body. Not a little bit hard. Properly, stubbornly, unreasonably hard.
And if you’re petite, you’ve probably been battling this your whole life.

Here’s why it’s not you. Clothing manufacturers are making garments for a fictional, standardised body. They need one pattern to fit as many people as possible, which means it fits almost nobody perfectly. When your body differs from that mythical standard, whether you’re petite, tall, plus-size, long in the leg, short in the rise, or anything else entirely human, the gap between “what’s on the rack” and “what actually works” widens considerably.

Trousers have more fit points than any other garment. The waist, the hips, the rise, the seat, the thighs, the length. Getting all six right on a body that wasn’t the one they were cutting for? That’s not a shopping problem. That’s a geometry problem.

Petite and Struggling to Find Pants? Here’s Why (and What Helps) — Inside Out StyleWhen Alterations Aren’t Enough

Alterations are not a sign of failure. Please write that somewhere you’ll see it. Most of us need them, most of the time, and there’s nothing shameful about it.
But here’s the honest reality: if you’re petite with a non-standard rise, plus waist issues, plus leg issues, by the time you’ve altered all of that, you’ve practically remade the trousers from scratch. At that point, you might as well start with fabric that you actually love.

The Case For Made-To-Measure

This is where a good tailor or dressmaker becomes genuinely life-changing. Once someone cuts a pattern to fit your body specifically, you have something extraordinary: a blueprint. You can make those trousers again and again, in whatever fabric, colour, or style you want. The upfront cost feels significant, but it amortises beautifully over time.

If a fully bespoke route feels like too big a leap, search for “made to measure” options online. There are increasingly more brands that start with a standard style but adjust the pattern to your measurements, especially length. It’s not the same as fully custom, but it’s a significant step up from hoping the petite range at your local department store will come good this season (spoiler: it probably won’t).

Etsy is also worth a look. There are skilled makers there who will produce garments from your measurements, and the range of styles is genuinely wide.

A Note On Fabric

Always consider stretch. Fabrics with a little elastane or similar woven in are more forgiving across multiple fit points simultaneously. Not activewear-level stretch, just a small percentage that gives the garment some flexibility to move with your body rather than against it.

The V-Neck and Crossover Problem

For anyone dealing with a neckline that plunges lower than intended, there are a couple of practical fixes.

First, taking up from the shoulders rather than the hem is something most people don’t think of, but it pulls the neckline up without changing the length of the garment below. Particularly useful for sleeveless dresses.

Second, there are products like the B-string, which attaches to your bra and sits across the neckline, providing coverage without adding bulk or significantly changing the look of the garment. Worth knowing about if you like a wrap style or a crossover dress but find the cut sits too low.

Why More Women Are Learning To Sew (or Refreshing Their Sewing Skills)

It’s not a coincidence. It’s a rational response to a problem that the high street has consistently failed to solve. When you sew, or when you work with someone who does, you have control. You choose the fabric, the style, the fit. Nothing is “close enough.”
If you’ve been frustrated by petite ranges that read as either frumpy or aggressively girlish, the answer may genuinely be to sidestep the mainstream entirely.

The fashion fairy isn’t coming. But a good pattern and a talented dressmaker might be the next best thing.

NEver Short on Style - book for petite women who struggle with their style

If this resonates, my ebook Never Short on Style: Dressing and Finessing the Petite Frame covers the full picture, from body shape and proportion to colour, jewellery, and everything the standard style guides skip because they weren’t written with you in mind. It’s been called the most comprehensive style guide for petites ever written, which I’ll take. At $17, it costs considerably less than the trousers that didn’t fit. You can grab it here.

Kruidvat Launches First Own-Brand Korean Skincare Range in Benelux

0

THE WHAT? Kruidvat has launched its first own-brand Korean skincare line, becoming the first retailer in Belgium and the Netherlands to introduce a private-label K-beauty range manufactured in South Korea.

THE DETAILS The new Kruidvat Korean Skincare collection features eight products, including serums and face masks, all produced in Korea and designed to complement the popular K-beauty skincare routine. The range is built around what Kruidvat calls the “slow glow routine,” which focuses on consistent daily skincare rather than quick-fix solutions. The launch is supported by Kruidvat’s Skincare Guide, developed in partnership with dermatologist Samira Baharlou, to help consumers choose products based on their age and skin type. The products will be available in Kruidvat stores and online from 23 June. The retailer said the range has been inspired by the continued popularity of K-beauty trends such as “glass skin,” “slugging” and “skin barrier repair,” which have gained traction through platforms like TikTok.

THE WHY? Kruidvat is responding to growing consumer demand for Korean skincare products and the broader trend towards preventative, routine-based skincare. By launching an affordable own-brand K-beauty line, the retailer aims to make Korean skincare concepts more accessible while capitalising on the category’s popularity in Europe.

What I’m packing for a 7-day Winter trip to Brisbane

0

I’m off hoooooome for a week, Brisbane here I come!

I’m heading back with a bunch of my amazing NZ personal styling clients on our Aussie Shopping Trip (you can find more info on the 2027 trips here if you’re keen to know more). We’re hitting the Sunshine State to find colour, print and just things that are a little different than what we can pick up here in Aoteoroa, so I need to pack versatile, weather-appropriate pieces that can mix and match, and stand the test of 8-hour shopping days! (as well as a few extra days with my fam after the girls leave).

So the aim of the game: Pack as little as I can, to get the most looks I can! I took some loose inspiration from this blog on the 5,4,3,2,1 packing method I wrote a little while back, but decided that I didnt need 4 bottoms, so only packed 3 (haha I know, who am I!)

Here’s what I’ve packed (all the things that are still available are linked)

Now, in order to make sure I could actually get the most use out of all these pieces, I did something I don’t often do (but now highly recommend) and I tried EVERYTHING ON before I packed it! I needed to see how it actually worked in outfits, rather than just assuming it would be useful (which is my usual way of packing).

Can you guess how many outfits I got out of these 13 items? TWENTY FOUR!! I can stay for a month! woot! And honestly, that wasn’t all the different combos I could create, that’s just where I stopped because I got tired haha!

Now I know the weather can be changeable, and some of these looks are not as “wintery” as they might need to be, but I need to make sure I’ve got the right layers going on under the jackets and jumpers, we’re inside all of the time, and I’m also peri-menopausal, so those hot flushes are coming through thick and fast.

I’m a Brisbane girl, so I DO have some experience with a Brissy winter (cold in the morning, lovely and warm by lunchtime usually), plus I’ve acclimatised to NZ temps so the forecast 12-21 degrees is relatively balmy compared to what we’ve had here this week!

I’ll try and document what I do actually wear each day (and night) so we can really see how useful everything was.

Wish me luck!

Mother’s Day Favorites — 100% PURE

0

Motherhood, in all its forms, is perhaps the most profound expression of endurance and heart. Whether she is a new mom navigating the quiet hours of the night, a seasoned caregiver managing a bustling household, or a grandmother whose wisdom is the anchor of the family, the women who inspire us often share one common trait: they put themselves last. Their mornings are a whirlwind of care, coordination, and selfless service, often leaving them with mere seconds to tend to their own spirits.

This Mother’s Day, I want to invite you to give a gift that goes beyond a simple box of chocolates or a bouquet of flowers—though those are lovely, too! Let’s give the gift of time, peace, and a 5-minute morning ritual. The Real You Beauty Collection isn’t just about makeup; it’s about providing effortless elegance for the women who do it all.

When you pamper the women you love with these formulas, you are giving them the tools to feel refreshed, polished, and—most importantly—seen.

I. The “Seconds to Satin” Base: Refreshing the Busy Mom

For the woman on the go, “heavy” or “fussy” makeup is the enemy. She needs products that work as hard as she does and blend in the blink of an eye. This is where the Fruit Pigmented® 2nd Skin Foundation becomes a game-changer for her quick morning makeup routine.

A Serum That Understands Her Time

Traditional foundations require brushes, sponges, and a lot of patience to avoid streaks. But the 2nd Skin Foundation is a breathable serum foundation that behaves more like a high-end moisturizer. Because of its ultra-thin, fluid texture and olive squalane base, it can be applied with the fingertips in less than sixty seconds.

  • The Blend: It melts into the skin instantly, evening out redness and blurring the signs of a short night’s sleep. It doesn’t sit on the surface; it becomes a second skin finish that looks entirely natural.
  • The Built-in Bonus: Most moms don’t have time for a ten-step anti-aging routine. This foundation is a multitasking hero. While it provides coverage, it’s also delivering a concentrated dose of Vitamin C and Vitamin E directly to her skin. It is skincare and coverage in one single step.

For the woman who inspires you, this foundation provides a satin finish that moves with her—whether she’s at a boardroom meeting or chasing a toddler through the park. It’s the ultimate “no-makeup” confidence in a bottle.

II. Simple Elegance: Turning “Tired” into “Rested”

We all know the look of “caregiver fatigue”—the slight shadows under the eyes or a complexion that feels a bit dull from the weight of responsibility. Our goal with Mother’s Day beauty gifts is to bring back that spark of vitality with just two simple tools: the Passion Fruit Mascara and the Fruit Pigmented® Gemmed Luminizer.

Eyes That Look Wide Awake

The Passion Fruit Mascara is the bridge between dramatic beauty and deep conditioning. For a mom who might have sensitive eyes or who wears contacts, this healthy lash mascara is a revelation.

  • The Look: It provides feathery volume without the “crunch.” It separates and lifts each lash, making her eyes look wider and more vibrant.
  • The Care: Infused with seaweed and pro-vitamin B5, it strengthens her lashes while she wears it. It’s a way to tell her, “You deserve to look as bright as the love you give.”

The Instant Dimension

To complete the “rested” look, we add the Fruit Pigmented® Gemmed Luminizer. This isn’t a complex cream luminizer tutorial; it’s a “tap and go” miracle. By dabbing a tiny bit on her cheekbones and the bridge of her nose, she adds a multidimensional highlighter effect that mimics a full eight hours of sleep. The avocado and cocoa butters ensure the glow stays stable and sophisticated, never sparkly or exaggerated. It’s the simplest way to add “life” back to the skin in under ten seconds.

III. The Finishing Touch: A Radiant, Effortless Smile

The final piece of this natural beauty gift set is the Fruit Pigmented® Lip Gloss. If a mother only has time for one thing before she heads out the door, let it be this.

A single swipe of this hydrating lip gloss provides an instant “put-together” feeling. It isn’t sticky or heavy; it’s a vitamin E lip care treatment that leaves her lips looking juicy, plump, and healthy. Colored with real fruit like pomegranates and raspberries, it gives her a natural, sophisticated flush of color that works for every occasion. It is the easiest way to celebrate her smile—the smile that has likely comforted and cheered so many others.

IV. Why This Collection is the Perfect Gift

When you choose the Real You Beauty Collection for Mother’s Day, you are choosing a brand that aligns with her values. Mothers are protectors by nature, and they appreciate products that are 100% PURE.

  • Safe Ingredients: No synthetic dyes, no heavy metals, and no harsh fragrances. Just the pure power of plants and fruits.
  • Efficiency Meets Luxury: These formulas offer a high-end, professional result without the time commitment of a traditional “full face.”

Giving her these products is a way of saying: “I see everything you do, and I want you to have five minutes that are just for you.” It is a gift of self-care that lasts far beyond the holiday.

V. Conclusion: Beauty That Honors the Heart

The women who inspire us deserve more than just a quick “thank you.” They deserve a ritual that makes them feel as beautiful on the outside as they are on the inside. Whether she is your mother, your mentor, or your partner, the gift of a 5-minute morning is a gift of peace and presence.

This Mother’s Day, let’s move away from the “heavy masks” and toward the “Real-You” reveal. Let’s celebrate her skin, her eyes, and her smile with the purity of nature. And remember, we stand by our “Happy Promise.” If she needs a different shade or if the product isn’t exactly what she dreamed of, we’ll take care of an exchange within 60 days, no questions asked.

Here’s to the women who light up our lives—may we help them light up their own.

FAQ: Mother’s Day Beauty Gifting Made Easy

Is this set good for mature skin?

Absolutely! In fact, the Real You Beauty Collection is specifically designed to flatter skin at every stage of life. The Fruit Pigmented® 2nd Skin Foundation is enriched with olive squalane, which is incredibly beneficial for mature skin that may be experiencing dryness or a loss of elasticity. Unlike matte foundations, our satin finish doesn’t settle into fine lines; it hydrates and plumps them, creating a youthful, dewy glow.

What if I’m not sure which foundation shade to get for Mom?

We know that choosing a shade for someone else can feel daunting! That’s why we offer our “Happy Promise.” If you gift her a shade that isn’t quite right, she can easily exchange it for the perfect match within 60 days. You can also look at her current favorite products—if she wears a “Medium” in other brands, our “Sand” or “Peach” tones are usually a safe and beautiful bet.

Can I include a gift message with my order?

Yes! We believe the most important part of any gift is the heart behind it. You can include a personalized message at checkout, and we will ensure it’s included with her natural beauty gift set. It’s the perfect way to tell her exactly why she inspires you.

Are these products easy for someone who doesn’t wear much makeup?

That is exactly who these products were made for! The textures are so forgiving and the pigments are so natural that they are almost impossible to “mess up.” They blend seamlessly with the fingers and require no special tools or techniques. It’s professional-grade beauty made accessible for everyone.

ACCC Reviews Woolworths ‘Kids’ Sunscreen Labelling Following Complaint Over Controversial UV Filter

0

THE WHAT? Australia’s competition regulator, the ACCC, is reviewing a complaint against Woolworths regarding the marketing of its private-label “Kids” sunscreen products, following concerns that the products may be misleadingly positioned as specially formulated for children.

THE DETAILS The complaint, lodged by the Australian Sunscreen Council, argues that Woolworths’ Kids SPF50+ Roll On sunscreen differs from its standard SPF50+ Everyday Lotion primarily through the inclusion of 4-MBC, a UV filter currently under safety review by Australia’s Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) and restricted or not approved in numerous international markets. The complaint draws comparisons with the ACCC’s successful action against Reckitt Benckiser’s Nurofen Specific Pain products, which were found to be misleadingly marketed as condition-specific despite containing identical formulations. The Council has asked the ACCC to require Woolworths to provide evidence supporting the use of the “Kids” designation. The ACCC confirmed it is assessing the complaint but has not made any findings against Woolworths.

THE WHY? The case raises broader questions around product marketing, transparency and ingredient safety in children’s products. The inclusion of 4-MBC in a sunscreen targeted at children has attracted scrutiny because regulators in several jurisdictions have raised concerns about the ingredient’s potential endocrine-disrupting effects, while Australian authorities continue to review its safety profile.

13 Best Armchairs, Reviewed For Style & Comfort 2026

0

Finley Armchair, Ecru Linen

Specifications:

  • Size: H 87cm x W 73cm x D 87cm.
  • Fabric: 100% Belgian linen.
  • Colours: Ecru, plus made-to-order options across cottons, linens, rustic linens, cotton velvets, prints, weaves and wools.
  • Matching items available: No direct matching items listed.

Why we love it: There’s a lovely old-house sensibility to this armchair: curved back, neat proportions, turned front legs and brass castors. It has proper reading-chair charm, but the ecru Belgian linen keeps it feeling fresh and relaxed. The warm cream tone is easy to layer into a neutral scheme, especially alongside oak, antique brass, stripes, checks or a pleasingly overstuffed cushion.

At 73cm wide, it’s one of the more compact designs in this roundup, making it a clever pick. The seat is narrower than some of the chunkier options, so this is less sprawl-and-slump, more upright, elegant comfort. Still cosy, but with proper posture.

The detail gives it staying power. The sustainably sourced hardwood frame, aged oak legs and handmade British upholstery all add to the crafted feel, while the Oeko-Tex-certified fabric is a reassuring touch. This one’s made to order, so you’ll need to wait a little longer, but for a timeless linen armchair with grown-up polish, it brings serious interiors mileage.

23 Best Father’s Day Gifts 2026, Reviewed

0

Father’s Day FAQs, answered:

What makes a good Father’s Day gift?

“I don’t know about you, but I think men are notoriously hard to buy for,” says Holly Tucker MBE, plus founder of Not On The High Street and Holly & Co. “At any occasion, in my list of people to gift, the men in my life are always the trickiest!

“I think the key to buying the best gift for any dad, grandad (or father figure), is finding something that nods to how deeply you know him. So I tend to focus on one of two things, either something that is so unique to them, deeply personal and celebrates their niche passion, perhaps it’s cricket, golf, Guinness — the list is endless.” Think cricket gifts, golf gifts, football gifts, BBQ gifts and fishing gifts aplenty.

How much should someone spend on a Father’s Day gift?

“Father’s Day really is a moment to share your love,” continues Holly. “When we all have busy, fast-paced lives, we can be so quick to forget to tell people what they really mean to us. So whether it’s a small token or an heirloom to treasure, it’s not about the price tag. It’s about the pause. The noticing. The ‘thank you for everything’.

“Whether it’s a hand-drawn personalised pub piece of art or a token to remind him just how much he means to you, like this wooden secret message apple, it’s always the thought that counts.”

“There is no magic number — and our research shows that over half of us prioritise sentiment over the price tag,” says Jess Henderson, gifts category lead at Bloom & Wild. “A thoughtful gesture or even just sending him his favourite sweet treat always means more than an expensive luxury just for the sake of it.”

What’s a good Father’s Day gift for a new dad?

“The first Father’s Day always feels extra special,” adds Holly. “I always think that for the first Father’s Day, an heirloom or keepsake gift is the ultimate present. I love this ‘Letters As You Grow’ book, which can be filled with thoughts, advice and wisdom for all the years to come.”

What is a good last-minute Father’s Day gift?

“Honestly, the trick is all in the delivery,” details Jess. “Of course, the perfect scenario is that you can give something to dad in person — but if that’s not an option, then the next best thing is something beautifully packaged with a heartfelt note from you. He never needs to know that you were pinched for time.

“In terms of what to choose, I’d recommend something that feels like a genuine treat rather than the usual practical or novelty gifts that can quickly be forgotten. Think a box of hand-baked brownies, some beers and posh nibbles or just a great book with some posh coffee.”

What do you buy a dad who has everything?

“It is so easy to get stuck in an endless ‘scroll hole’ and settle for something underwhelming,” adds Jess. “And, for many of us, this is the one moment in the year we try to build an emotional connection and really say thank you.

” When someone already has ‘all the things’, shift your focus away from ‘stuff’ and toward upgrading their daily rituals. Think about how he spends his downtime — whether that’s cooking, gardening, or a quiet afternoon to himself and look for curated sets that elevate those. You are gifting a quality moment of relaxation, which is the one thing he probably never buys for himself.”

How I choose the best Father’s Day gifts:

Having been a commerce writer for more than three years, I often have a few ideas when it comes to gifts — present ideas are permanently floating around up there. However, when building these guides, there’s a little more to it.

I’ll start by asking my dad, step-dad and brothers-in-law what they’d like to receive on the big day. But I’ll also trawl the virtual shelves and ask brand founders or shopping experts for their recommendations.

However, when it comes to spotlighting specific products, I will try to get my hands on as many as possible so I can only recommend those of the highest quality. Once a sample has landed on my desk, I’ll review it against the following criteria:

Design Is it practical, fit for purpose and aesthetic? Does it feel premium and good value?
Price point Would I be willing to spend that much on a single gift? Is it of good quality?
Delivery How quickly did it arrive, and what were the associated costs?
Giftability Would this make a suitable birthday or Father’s Day gift? Is it something the recipient actually wants, needs and would enjoy? Would I be happy to receive it?

Essentially, you can also be reassured that only products and brands I genuinely love are recommended as part of the Glamour Gift Shop.

Why you can trust me:

Despite starting my journalism career on the showbiz desk of a tabloid newspaper, I pivoted to commerce three years ago. To date, I’ve written thorough product reviews for titles such as Women’s Health, Men’s Health and Cosmopolitan, before joining the Glamour team 19 months ago.

During that time, I’ve trialled everything from fashion staples (activewear, swimwear and shapewear) to the latest wellness launches and new drops in the sexual wellness space. I’ve also been a gift guide writer from the very start, liaising with brands and shopping experts so I can recommend considerate gifts for everyone on your list, from your mum and dad to your boyfriend, best friend and her newborn baby.

To ensure I’m an expert in the above areas, my working week involves heading to countless press days and interviewing experts, whether they be gifting pros, sex therapists, or activewear designers. As a result, you could say I am more of an expert on the subject of shopping and gift-giving than your average online shopper.

In fact, I was recently asked to share my tips live on Radio 4, where I suggested we collectively skip a restock of socks in exchange for a DIY gift hamper or bucket list experience gift. So, shall we shop?
