THE WHAT? Target has unveiled its largest Spring beauty assortment to date, introducing nearly 3,000 new products and more than 60 new brands across stores nationwide and Target.com.
THE DETAILS Launching in February, the expanded assortment spans skincare, makeup, haircare, fragrance and sun care, with more than 90% of items priced under US$20. The retailer is adding both established and emerging brands, including Morphe, Supergoop!, La Roche-Posay and an expanded K-beauty offering, alongside Target-exclusive and own-brand launches.
The rollout is supported by a refreshed in-store beauty experience, featuring clearer layouts, updated displays, enhanced fragrance testing and a fully reworked haircare aisle. Target is also hosting in-store beauty events and offering early access to select products for members of its paid Target Circle 360 programme.
THE WHY? The move reflects Target’s strategy to capitalise on sustained consumer interest in trend-driven, ingredient-focused beauty at accessible price points. By pairing a broader assortment with experiential retail and loyalty-led incentives, the retailer aims to strengthen its position as a mass-market destination for discovery-led beauty shopping.
